We're incredibly proud to announce that we've been awarded the Technology and Cyber Security Award at the Belmont and WA Small Business Awards ā€“ and with this being our 3rd award at this event over the past 10 years, we've been inducted into the Hall of Fame!

We will be jumping on the The Big Yellow Pipeline Challenge is celebrating its 10th Year in 2025! This year doing the final stretch of 80km. This will be a challenge for a chubby IT guy. It's for a great cause if you can spare some coin to donate.

For us, it's one night outside in the cold. For thousands of others in Australia, it's every night.

This year our team (The Grim Sleepers šŸ˜“) is taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout held at Optus Stadium , to raise money for Vinnies Australia to support Australians in need.

Last year, we raised $30k. This year, we're aiming higher, with a goal of $50k! Will you help us reach our goal?

A $55 donation can feed a family for a day. $300 could help relocate a person sleeping rough. If you're keen to do your part, donate what you can and help us break the cycle of homelessness.

We pride ourselves on our positive, relaxed office culture and the team that makes it possible. We are always on the lookout for the means to further enhance both our working environment and our clients' service experience.

There are a number of progression tracks available to our Service Desk staff. We aim to promote from the service desk to other departments wherever possible, including Onsite Services, Managed Services, Workshop/R&D, Senior, and Team Leader roles.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking technicians to join our service desk team.You will work with a broad range of technologies across a client base spanning most industries, each with a unique infrastructure configuration and wide variety of personalities.

Customer service is hands down the most vital component of any role at Newtrend. This includes managing client expectations, maintaining client relationships and managing conflicting priorities. Working well with your team, and knowing when to escalate or lend a hand is also key.

SKILLS REQUIRED

You will be able to confidently and consistently provide first rate customer service.
You will have excellent verbal and written "no geek speak" communication skills.
A solid work ethic and drive to get the job done thoroughly and correctly.
We are happy to provide training for the right candidate but Experience in the following technologies would help with the role:

Windows Server (2008-2019)
Server roles and services (DHCP, DNS, DFSR)
MS Windows based workstations
Active Directory
Group Policy
Microsoft Exchange 2007 to 365.
Network Devices (Routers, Switches, WAPs etc)
Network Services
Backup Technologies (Shadowprotect, VEAM)
Connectwise and Labtech
Any other specialist skills you may possess are also of interest to us.
