We've made an addition to the machine shop because it has promised to help feed the family. My daughter is excited about the "new robot"... now to figure out how this thing works.

You might notice we've pulled down all our ebay listings. The copycat sellers that popped up drove prices down so much that we make more money not offering the standard laser engraved signs at all.The laser engraver is still on the job providing the usual service for custom orders, it's just the eBay shop that is changing. It hasn't stopped us.. stay tuned as we are revamping the ebay shop and will be offering a whole different style of sign that all the others do not. With a new cnc router on the way to support our multicam router, also we are concentrating on specialising in the difficult jobs others don't like to do, which is machining stainless steel. Here is a panel made from 1.5mm thick, 304grade #4 finish stainless steel with 3mm thick text paint filled with blue marine enamel... custom order (made over 500 of these recently)... these will last in their outdoor environment!

It is interesting (well to me anyway) that my best selling colours (silver/black text) are not classed as "ideal" for display.. however most people purchase silver/black because it "looks better" with the decor around it, which kind of means that in most cases people don't really care too much about people seeing what the signs have to say. If you want a sign people are going to read - get white/black or yellow/black!

Worked some long hours routing/drilling these phenolic resin paper based laminate switchpanels (aka bakelite). What an exciting weekend! Long drive tomorrow morning to deliver these babies personally.. the old Volvo stepping up for the job eagerly :)

Just a quick heads up people. There are 3 or 4 "copy cat" sellers on ebay that have copied our listings and offer the same signs we sell for less money. It is evident to us, from our competitors photo's that they are using inferior machinery and materials, claiming they are UV stable when they aren't, and also they are speeding up their engraving machines to produce the signs faster with less quality.

For those who have purchased from us in the past, thank you for your support and for those thinking of purchasing signs, rest assured you are choosing the best. We use the best materials, the best double sided tape available and the best machinery with strict quality assurance.
