πŸ“… Weekly Presentation – 25 June

Join us at BNI First Class Moorabbin for our next member presentation.

Next week's feature presentation will be delivered by **Max McLaughlin from Jellis Craig**.

Although one of the newer members of the chapter, Max has already made a lasting impression with his energy, professionalism and genuine approach to building relationships.

As a real estate agent and auctioneer, Max believes property is about far more than transactions. His focus is on understanding people's goals, building trust and helping clients make the right decisions at the right time.

Whether someone is buying their first home, upsizing, downsizing or simply considering their options, Max takes a long-term view and aims to be a trusted guide throughout the journey.

In this presentation, he'll share insights into today's property market, what buyers and sellers should be considering, and why relationships remain at the heart of successful real estate.

Visitors are always welcome.

πŸ“… Weekly Presentation – 18 June

Join us at BNI First Class Moorabbin for our next member presentation.

Next week's feature presentation will be delivered by Tom Flack from Vantage Building Inspections.

After years of operating under the Jim's banner, Tom has launched his own business, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience in the building industry.

Having worked first as a builder and then as a property inspector, Tom has seen firsthand what can be hiding behind a freshly painted wall or an impressive façade.

Many buyers fall in love with a property based on appearance alone, only to later discover termites, structural defects, water damage or costly maintenance issues.

Tom's mission is simple: give people the information they need to make confident decisions before committing to one of the biggest purchases of their lives.

Whether you're buying, investing, renovating or simply curious about what inspectors actually look for, this presentation promises valuable insights and real-world stories.

Visitors are always welcome.

πŸ” Weekly Meeting Recap – BNI First Class Moorabbin

Another fantastic meeting this week, with plenty of learning, recognition and inspiration.

πŸ† Pitch of the Week

Congratulations to Alessio Patteu, who took out Pitch of the Week with the challenge of "Be Specific."

Alessio didn't just tell us about his work β€” he painted a picture of the finished result, helping everyone in the room visualise exactly how a custom piece comes together and what the end product can mean for a client.

πŸ‘‹ New Member Welcome

We were also excited to officially welcome Cameron Hirst of Peninsula Heavy Duty Pressure Washing as the newest member of the chapter.

We look forward to seeing Cameron grow his network and business with BNI First Class.

🎀 Feature Presentation

Rather than a traditional presentation and success story, Sarah delivered something truly unique.

She reflected on the people who have had the biggest impact on her business throughout her BNI journey and invited them to share their own advice with the room.

The result was a collection of practical insights on how to create the biggest impact on other businesses, how to maximise the value of networking, and how to get the most from your BNI membership.

A thoughtful, engaging and highly informative presentation that reminded us all that success in BNI is built on relationships.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to another great morning of connection, referrals and business growth.

πŸ“… Weekly Presentation – 11 June

Join us at BNI First Class Moorabbin for our next member presentation.

Next week's feature presentation will be delivered by Kirstie Edwards from A Path To Follow.

Kirstie's mission is simple: help young people and their families navigate mental health challenges with the support, advocacy and guidance they need.

After founding A Path To Follow as a charity, Kirstie discovered a difficult reality β€” the overhead and administration required to run a charity often meant less time, energy and funding reached the people who needed it most.

As a result, she is now transitioning A Path To Follow into a business model that allows her to focus on what matters most: delivering meaningful support directly to young people and their families.

Drawing on years of experience, Kirstie works alongside families to help them navigate services, build support networks, advocate for their needs and ensure they feel heard and understood during difficult times.

This presentation is valuable for anyone, but especially for parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches and anyone who works with young people.

You'll leave with a greater understanding of the challenges many families face and the difference that the right support can make.

Visitors are always welcome.

Weekly Meeting Recap – BNI First Class Moorabbin

This week's meeting was packed with ideas, inspiration and a reminder that expertise can take many forms.

Feature Presentation

A huge thank you to Jeremy Dart of Doing Business for introducing us to Book.Made.

Jeremy showed how becoming a published author can help business owners establish authority, build credibility and create lasting connections. Through collaborative publishing projects and his growing collection of business and networking books, Jeremy is helping successful professionals share their knowledge with the wider business community.

It's a powerful reminder that sometimes the best marketing tool isn't another advertisement β€” it's becoming the person people look to for expertise.

BNI Success Story

This week's success story came from Tom Flack, who shared how networking through BNI gave him the confidence, connections and opportunities to branch out and launch his own business after years with Jim's.

Stories like Tom's are exactly why we do what we do.

Pitch of the Week

Congratulations to Adam Grant of Rapid Tune Automotive, who took home Pitch of the Week.

Responding to Kirstie's theme of Autumn Colours, Adam reminded us that while autumn colours may look beautiful in nature, they're far less attractive when they appear on a car in the form of rust.

A clever pitch that had the room thinking while delivering a memorable message.

Thanks everyone for another fantastic morning of learning, referrals and business growth.

πŸ“… Weekly Presentation + STACK DAY – 4 June

Join us at BNI First Class Moorabbin for a special morning featuring both our Tech & Marketing STACK DAY and a feature presentation by Gary Wagner from Recalibrate PT.

Gary is a firm believer that many of the aches and pains people accept after 40 β€” bad backs, sore shoulders, stiffness and recurring injuries β€” are not simply something we have to live with.

Specialising in helping the 40+, injured and time-poor, Gary teaches people how to better understand and treat their bodies while achieving real results with the time they actually have available.

From in-person coaching to online instruction, Gary’s approach is practical, realistic and backed by impressive client results.

This is a presentation about feeling better, moving better and building a healthier body without needing to live in a gym.

Honestly, it’s a must-see presentation for anyone with a body β€” but especially for busy business owners.

πŸ’» This meeting also doubles as our STACK DAY for Tech & Marketing professionals, welcoming guests from digital, creative and tech industries to connect and network with the chapter.

Visitors are always welcome.

Drawing on generations of bookbinding and print expertise, Book.Made helps businesses turn their knowledge, stories and expertise into beautifully produced books designed to open doors and strengthen professional networks.

Jeremy will showcase how collaborative books can:

Weekly Meeting Recap – BNI First Class Moorabbin

Another brilliant meeting this week filled with laughs, insights and some genuinely eye-opening moments.

πŸ† Pitch of the Week

This week, Max McLaughlin asked everyone what occupation they would have chosen if they weren’t doing what they do today.

The answers ranged far and wide β€” but perhaps unsurprisingly, it turns out Steve is a rocker at heart.

And somehow, that energy helped Steve take out Pitch of the Week.

Feature Presentation

A huge well done to Rob Hart from Sweetheart Plumbing for delivering an outstanding feature presentation.

Rob showcased the scale and capability of his team, including their ability to take on major commercial projects such as schools and large organisations β€” completely turning on its head what many people think of when they hear the word β€œplumbing”.

It was a fascinating look into the complexity, scale and professionalism behind modern plumbing work.

BNI Success Story

This week’s BNI success story was shared by Alessio Patteu, who spoke about the many positive changes that have happened in his business since joining the chapter and building relationships within the room.

Another fantastic morning of connection, referrals and business growth.

Visitors are always welcome at BNI First Class Moorabbin.

This presentation will look at:
β€’ Sustainable business habits
β€’ Avoiding burnout
β€’ Maintaining energy and clarity
β€’ Building healthier professional relationships
β€’ Why wellbeing is not separate from business success

An important and highly relevant session for business owners, leaders and professionals across every industry.
