The Deeply Satisfied Woman Nicole Bateman believes in Radiance Before Results.

I help driven women create a life that FEELS as good as it looks || Coach, Facilitator & Speaker specialising in the intersection of femininity and success

https://linktr.ee/nicolebateman As the Creator of The Deeply Satisfied Woman, she’s on a mission to help driven and ambitious women break free from burnout, and create success that feels as good as it looks - radiant, turned on, and Deeply Sat

isfying! A former elite athlete turned leadership and empowerment coach, Nicole is obsessed with psychology, spirituality, and the intersection of femininity and ambition. She’s here to debunk the myth that productivity is your greatest asset - and show women how to lead, achieve, and thrive from a place of deep alignment. A finalist in the 2024 Australian Small Business Champion & Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards, Nicole is leading a movement where women no longer have to choose between ambition and personal fulfilment. When she’s not coaching or speaking, you’ll find her dancing, indulging in wine and cheese, adventuring with her Husband or doting on her (very spoiled) cat.

Old me is judging current me for this: my relationship with Resilience has changed a lot over time…

When I was a professional equestrian athlete, I was so proud of my ability to endure hard stuff - to keep going and ‘do whatever it takes’! I had no idea how to listen to the parts of me that needed something different to that, something softer, slower and more empathetic. In fact - I outright judged those parts as weak, in myself and others.

I see this now in my smart female clients who are running businesses and organisations. The promises to herself that things will change after this “busy season” that never seems to end…

I recently ran a workshop for The Skin Health Institute’s staff forum called Resilience Reimagined, where we pulled this old pattern apart and their team left with a new version of resilience.

Here’s what I taught them:

One, Notice: Can you notice what’s happening inside of you, hear the signals your body is sending about your desires, needs, capacity and limits?

Two, Honour: Can you honour that information, by setting healthy boundaries to protect your limits, asking for what you want and need and advocating for yourself?

Three, Return: Can you return to a resourced, soft and open state following a challenging experience? Do you reliably know how to soothe yourself and get back into a regulated, grounded state?

Four, Curious: Can you stay curious about what’s happening inside of yourself and others instead of slipping into judgement and control?

Five, Connect: Can you lean into support, ask for what you need, and also offer support when appropriate - rather than operating in isolation?

Being resilient isn’t just about coming out the winner no matter the cost - it’s moving through ALL of life’s seasons without abandoning yourself in the process.

The resilience I admire shines from people who haven’t hardened themselves in response to life’s challenges, but have instead allowed themselves to be shaped into more open, courageous, loving and self honouring beings.

Has your relationship with resilience changed? If so, how?

As a women’s leadership coach with 15+ years experience, I’ve helped a lot of women have some epic breakthroughs.

If I could choose just ONE to stuff into a cute little pill and give it to the masses to swallow, it’d be this one.

THIS realisation is a turning point in women’s lives and businesses, without fail.

Out with the old and in with the new, RESILIENCE edition!

We learned resilience was enduring hard stuff and still coming out a winner.

That’s alright, but if you want true sustainable performance, you need these 5 things.

Watch and comment, which one resonates most for you right now?

Capable women are notorious for tolerating uncomfortable stuff in ways that can actually do them a big disservice, and contributes to their sense of exhaustion, loneliness and frustration in life and relationships.

What would happen if you gave yourself permission to speak up or make a change when something in your life hit a 4 or 5 (out of 10) difficulty or discomfort, rather than waiting for it to be an 8 or 9?

Many of my driven female clients face sleep challenges - from stress, young children, or a combination of both.

And over the last few years, I’ve dealt with periods of insomnia myself after a stressful time broke my sleep habits and, unfortunately, became a pattern.

After a bad night’s sleep, it can be easy for me to slip into thinking my sleep is f*cked again, or I’m going downhill.

So first: I remind myself it was just ONE night.

And today I can prioritise the things I know will help me get better sleep tonight, WITHOUT getting rigid and obsessive about it (because that doesn’t help either).

Last night I slept badly, so today I’m:

👉🏼 Doing shorter blocks of focused work - 45(ish) minute chunks followed by a break. On a well-slept day, I’ll do a 90 minute focus block, but today I know my brain will struggle with that. There are still things I want to get done.
👉🏼 Ticking off my important work this morning - I know the afternoon will feel hardest after a bad sleep.
👉🏼 Postponing the content creation I was going to do this afternoon until tomorrow. I want to be firing on all cylinders to do a good job of that work.
👉🏼 Still going to the gym, but I’ll likely do fewer sets than usual. I’ll listen to my body and not push.
👉🏼 No caffeine after lunch!
👉🏼 Tonight I’ll wind down with music and movement that help me regulate my system. I’ll also read a chapter or two of a book I’ve already read - the familiarity helps me relax, rather than getting sucked into a storyline that keeps me awake thinking about the plot!

Adjusting for a low energy day doesn’t have to mean cancelling everything.

But it also doesn’t have to mean expecting the same from yourself that you would if you’d woken well rested.

What works for you on low energy days?

I’ve been thinking about this moment ever since.

Because women supporting women is something we speak about often - but genuine sisterhood has a feeling to it.

You can tell when you’re being celebrated without comparison.

When your power doesn’t make someone else shrink or become guarded.

When your tenderness isn’t used against you.

When you’re allowed to be impressive, imperfect, complex and fully human.

This is one of the things I adore most about my group program, Overflow. The community element creates a kind of magic I could never manufacture or teach by myself.

Women witness each other.

They reflect one another’s growth.

They remind each other who they are becoming.

And some of our most powerful moments of transformation happen when women we respect see us clearly - and celebrate us there.

Great women at your back and sides can change who you become.

‘Guilty Pleasure’ has to be one of the crappest phrases I hear from smart, capable women.

AS IF something that nourishes and satisfies you - fills your soul cup - could be something you need to feel guilty about. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Stop beating yourself up for taking time for things that light you up that don’t happen to be productive mmkay?

What pleasure or pastime do you want to spend more time indulging in?
