Cross Our Fingers is chasing her maiden victory in the next at Sale. She's been freshened up for a shot at 1400m on a good track. Sale is a happy hunting ground for the Blackiston stable, with beau mertens engaged to ride today could be the day!

Cross Our Fingers goes to Cranbourne today in race 4 - a 1600m maiden. Despite another horror barrier (12/14) she gets her chance to prove herself on a soft track and with young gun Ben Allen aboard we can only hope for the best. Her first up run was on a soft track, but we expected improvement on that effort with more race experience and the addition of blinkers, so hopefully she gets clear running today and we walk away with a win!

A very pleasing outing at Geelong with Cross Our Fingers coming third. The addition of blinkers sharpened her up and she was able to work her way through the field after drifting well back from the bad gate. Not long until our filly appears on the winners list!

Cross Our Fingers continues her preparation at Geelong today in race 4. Drawn barrier 11/12 Brian Higgins will have to drift back and put in one last big run at them.
Today is her first start with blinkers and if she's anything like her mum she'll relish the gear change - her track work has indicated that this will be the case. Fingers Crossed!

Introducing our new stable jockey Belle Kibby. With Cross Our Fingers winning her trial yesterday, the next few months are looking great for DPR.

The day has come at last, the first start of our first yearling purchase. After 18 months in the care of trainer, Nigel Blackiston our filly, Cross Our Fingers will step out in a 3yo fillies maiden at Geelong - race 3 at 2:26.

She has had two pleasing trials this preparation and under the guidance of Paddy Pilley we hope to see her finishing of very well from the awkward barrier 14.

It is an exciting day for DPR and all the owners to see Cross Our Fingers run for the first time, so fingers crossed we can get a result and keep the Holiday festivities going!

Some DPR owners have the added excitement of having Exclusive Lass running in the Christmas Stakes at Caulfield - all the best to them and team Blackiston!

Exclusive Lass has returned from a break in great form. First up she put in a great effort down the straight against some quality opposition only to be nabbed in the last 50m finishing a creditable second. On friday night she found herself leading again in the Abell Stakes at Moonee Valley and while she may not be the best wet tracker in the world she tried her heart out and was only nosed out of third by It Is written.

Cathy's Mark and Exclusive Lass both ran very well on Melbourne Cup Day! Both of them displayed their talent and looked absolutely superb, which is a credit to Nigel and his team.

And the wins keep on coming! This time with Cathy's Mark in The City of Ballarat BM 78 for mares at Sportsbet Ballarat. Congratulations to all the owners and again to Nigel.
