For the past 31 years, we have proudly sponsored and fully-funded all aspects of the National Excellence in Teaching Awards.

Since 1994, we have recognised more than 1,120 exceptional educators and gifted $1.5 million in professional development grants.

On Monday, nine brilliant educators from Australia and New Zealand received National Excellence in Teaching Awards at a gala event at the State Library of Victoria.

Futurity CEO, Sam Sondhi outlined the strong financial performance of the business, underpinned by a growth in revenue, strong equity markets and a sustained reduction in operating expenses.

Looking to the future, Sam said improving Member experience, uplifting our digital capabilities, and product enhancements were key priorities in FY26.

Board Chair, Dr Jacqueline Jennings reinforced the Board’s commitment to mutual values with Members at the heart of every decision.

Dr Jennings also highlighted our commitment to social impact, including Futurity Education Foundation, and the National Excellence in Teaching Awards.

The launch of the Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan was another significant milestone for Futurity during the past financial year.

Retiring chair of Futurity Investment Group, Craig Dunstan has been a leading figure in the mutual sector for more than 30 years, guiding Futurity through transformation, innovation and growth.

It was wonderful to attend the Melbourne Yalari cocktail party and hear from some of their amazing alumni. From an idea sparked some 20 years ago, founder Waverley Stanley AM has grown Yalari into an incredible organisation.

Through the provision of scholarships to Indigenous students so they can attend boarding school and study at University, Yalari is creating genuine and lasting impact for their scholars, their families and communities.

Futurity Education Foundation proudly partners with Yalari and provides an annual grant to fund five scholarships.
