To say I’m F**KEN ANGRY is an understatement!! I’m ok
I COULD HAVE KILLED SOMEONE!!!! Being a motorcyclist and a truck driver I can tell you how bad the roads are first hand but I never imagined I’d be standing on the side of the Western Freeway near Brookfield, after the truck and my business I’ve worked so hard for was destroyed after hitting a pothole.

Years of blood, sweat, sacrifice, early mornings, late nights, missed family time… gone in an instant.

People will say, “It’s only a truck.” No… it’s not.

For a small business owner, it’s our livelihood. It’s how we provide for our families. It’s the roof over our heads, the food on the table, and the future we’ve spent years building.

The hardest part is wondering if this crash could have been prevented.

How many more people have to suffer? How many more vehicles have to be written off? How many more families have to receive that terrifying phone call before the condition of our roads becomes a genuine priority instead of another issue to be discussed after someone gets hurt?

Victorians pay thousands of dollars every year through registration, fuel taxes and other charges. We deserve roads that are maintained to a standard that puts safety first. We deserve to know that when serious concerns are raised, they’re acted on before another crash happens.

I count myself incredibly lucky to be alive. Trucks can be replaced. People can’t.

This isn’t about politics. This isn’t about blame for the sake of blame.

This is about accountability.

This is about every truck driver, every tradie, every mum, every dad, every young driver and every family who simply wants to get home safely.

If you’ve ever driven on a road and thought, “Someone is going to get hurt here,” then please share this.

Because enough is enough.

Let’s stop accepting dangerous roads as “just the way they are.”

Let’s demand better. Before more people are killed!
