My greatest passion is horses followed closely by photography. My passion for Horses has been there for as long as I can remember. As a child I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to have riding lessons, attend riding camps and work on a Quarter Horse Stud in Whittlesea. At the age of thirteen I had the great pleasure of leasing my first horse – although a bit of a rat bag, I loved him dearly
. From that time on, I have been blessed with horsy friends who will always have a special place in my heart. Having the opportunity to attend Horse Management College at Glenormiston and graduate was a fantastic experience, which led to working in the horse industry. I’ve worked on a Riding pony stud, a Quarter-horse stud, a Standardbred training stables, a thoroughbred Stud where I was assistant manager and an adgistment property where I managed 50 horses on a 130-acre property. My life has been enriched with equine friends of all shapes and sizes giving me a lifetime of special memories that I will treasure, always. Photography…
From my early teenage years, I have enjoyed photography, my first camera a small compact Kodak camera that did me proud for many years. From then on I was given my first compact point and shoot digital camera, which was the beginning of a passion for Photography. I was always behind the camera and never in front of it. For five years my trusty Ricoh compact digital camera went everywhere with me. My passion for horses played a big part in my Photography; the horses I worked with and owned became the most photographed horses ever. Eighteen months ago, I was able to purchase a DSLR camera, it was only second hand but that was where my passion for photography really flared. Working full time did not allow me to explore my photography to its fullest but five months ago, that changed. I have now had many opportunities to photograph events, rally days, and do private photo shoots for some wonderful groups of people. I also work with Equine Excellence Magazine as Official Photographer
I am happy to work in with people and come to your home to take photographs of those special moments with your horsey and animal friends or attend regular rally days, events or functions to capture those memorable moments.
