AHPRA registration, minus the overwhelm. 📋

If you're an internationally qualified nurse or allied health professional, here's the path in plain English:

1️⃣ Check your qualification. Different countries and courses map differently to Australian standards.
2️⃣ English language test. OET or IELTS, unless you qualify for an exemption.
3️⃣ Self-check and apply. Create your profile and submit through the AHPRA portal.
4️⃣ Documents. Identity, qualifications, registration history, references. Get certified copies early, this is where most delays happen.
5️⃣ Assessment. AHPRA reviews your application and may set an assessment pathway.
6️⃣ Registration granted. Now the fun part begins: finding the right role. 🎉

Interview coming up? Here's what Australian healthcare employers actually want to hear. 🩺

It's not about perfect answers. It's about showing how you think, how you work in a team, and how you put patients first.

1️⃣ Use real examples. "Tell me about a time..." questions want stories, not theory.
2️⃣ Know the organisation. Aged care, acute and community settings all look for different things.
3️⃣ Ask questions back. You're interviewing them too.
4️⃣ Be honest about your gaps. Self-awareness beats fake perfection every time.
