What a fabulous first event we just had!! Over 50 singles came out for a gorgeous picnic with yummy food, fun games and deep chats!!

I love seeing the change in peoples faces from the nervous introductions to happy smiles not wanting it to end….

Here are 10 things that actually make being single wonderful:
✨ More space to grow close to God without distractions.
✨ The freedom to serve and say “yes” to opportunities on a whim.
✨ Deep, rich friendships that feel like chosen family.
✨ Time to figure out who you are (not who someone else wants you to be).
✨ Flexibility to follow God’s call — move cities, change jobs, explore.
✨ Freedom with your time and money (treat yourself or give generously!).
✨ Space for rest, renewal, and naps that no one interrupts 🙃
✨ Room to heal, grow, and process without pressure.
✨ The chance to be creative and adventurous — pick up that hobby, book that trip.

Sure… but maybe God has a plan that doesn’t involve 47 blokes with fish pics first. Stepping out in faith ≠ rushing anything.

🥶2. Say yes to anyone who asks you out, you never know!
Yes, because socks-with-sandals counts as a “maybe”? Discernment is part of faith, not pickiness.

🥵3. Marriage isn’t about love, it’s about finding the right person.
Love is the foundation. God calls us to seek partners who reflect His love, not just someone to tick a “married” box.

🤯 4. You’ll know it’s the one because you just will.
Faith isn’t always a lightning strike. Sometimes clarity comes slowly as we trust and walk with God.

🤬 5. You’re too independent — that’s probably why you’re single.
Independence is a gift, not a flaw. God equips us to live fully, while remaining open to partnership.
