But aviation is also a global business where capital moves quickly. When airlines and MRO groups decide where to build new hangars, training centres or engineering capability, industrial relations inevitably become part of the investment equation.
So, the real question may not be “unions or no unions.” It may be:
Is Australia’s industrial model fit for the next 20 years of aviation growth?
