Buakaw Banchamek From an eight-year-old kid in Surin to one of the most influential strikers of all time.

In 2004, Buakaw entered Japan’s K-1 WORLD MAX and shocked the world — defeating John Wayne Parr, Kohiruimaki and Masato to become champion.

After falling short against Andy Souwer in 2005, he adapted. Sharper boxing. Better combinations. A style evolved for K-1.

In 2006, he returned and stopped Souwer to become a two-time K-1 WORLD MAX Champion.

More than 20 years later, his influence still lives throughout modern Muay Thai and kickboxing.

Nico Carrillo’s journey to becoming World Champion wasn’t built on an undefeated record. It was built on what he did after losing.

After an incredible run through ONE Championship, Nico faced Nabil Anane with a World Title opportunity on the line. But the fight ended in the first round, handing Nico the first defeat of his ONE career.

For most fighters, a loss can become a setback. For Nico, it became a lesson.

He reassessed his weight class, returned to featherweight, rebuilt his approach and went back to work. He answered with victories over Sitthichai and Luke Lessei, earning another shot at championship gold.

Then came Shadow Singha Mawynn.

Shadow started fast and forced Nico to adapt, but as the fight progressed, Nico found his rhythm, increased the pressure and turned the momentum in his favour. After five rounds, Nico had his hand raised and was crowned ONE Interim Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion. 🏆

Nabil exposed the weaknesses. Shadow tested the evolution. The difference was everything that happened in between.

Before the world knew him as “The Iron Man,” Rodtang was a kid from Phatthalung fighting for something much bigger than himself.

Born into a family of 12 with very little money, he entered Muay Thai as a child and began fighting to help support his family. Eventually, he left southern Thailand behind and travelled to Bangkok, where years of brutal training, hundreds of fights and even moments where he considered walking away from the sport shaped the fighter we know today.

He became a two-time Omnoi Stadium Champion, earned Rajadamnern’s 2018 Fight of the Year, and accumulated more than 250 victories before turning 21.

Then came the next stage of his evolution.

Rodtang entered ONE Championship and adapted his relentless Thai stadium style to the modern global stage—defeating Jonathan Haggerty in 2019 to become ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion and beginning a reign that lasted roughly five years.

The style never disappeared. The pressure. The chin. The aggression. The willingness to walk directly through another man’s best shots. It evolved.

From fighting at local events in southern Thailand to becoming one of the most recognisable Muay Thai fighters on the planet.

From Tinnakorn Srisawat to Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

From a timid kid to The Iron Man.

TENSHIN NASUKAWA — THE PRODIGY EVOLVED. 🇯🇵

Tenshin started martial arts at 5 years old. By 16, he was a RISE champion. By 23, he had built an undefeated 42–0 kickboxing record, defeating names like Rodtang before beating Takeru at the Tokyo Dome.

He had conquered kickboxing.

So he started again.

Tenshin walked away undefeated and entered professional boxing, trading mastery for uncertainty. Even after suffering his first official professional defeat against Takuma Inoue, he continued to adapt, evolve and chase greatness in a new discipline.

Evolution isn’t about staying undefeated.
It’s about refusing to stay the same.

Michael Jackson understood something that very few understand….

RUKIYA ANPO EVO

March 22, 2020 — Rukiya Anpo vs FUKASHI.

By this point, Anpo was no longer chasing the top of K-1 — he was defending his place there.

After defeating Kaew Weerasakreck to become K-1 World GP Super Lightweight Champion in 2019, Anpo successfully defended the belt in their rematch later that year.

Then came FUKASHI.

At K’FESTA.3, Anpo defeated FUKASHI by unanimous decision, securing his second successful defence of the K-1 Super Lightweight Championship.

From contender, to champion, to proven champion.

Evolution isn’t reaching the top. It’s evolving enough to stay there.
