A contractor said 4 words that changed my business forever.

For years my pricing was way too low. And the worst part? I didn’t even know it.

I was pricing based on what I thought I’d be prepared to pay making the decision for my clients before they even had the chance to say yes.

It wasn’t until a contractor looked at my rates and said — “Shelley, you need to price your worth.”

That hit hard.

That day my prices nearly doubled. And what surprised me most? People were still buying.

That’s when I realised the price was never the problem. My belief in my own worth was.

I had been letting my corporate conditioning decide what I deserved to earn. Keeping myself small. Waiting to be validated.

You left corporate… but did you leave the employee programming behind?

I was closing the linen closet door and saw a man in a top hat standing there staring at me. I gasped and opened the door immediately to remove the image.
When I closed the door again, nothing was there.

At the time, I convinced myself it was a ghost because it felt SO real.

Later I discovered stress, and sleep deprivation can make your mind do strange things and all of those were present in my life at the time.

It made me realise how often we ignore the signs that something deeper needs to change.

Especially in business.

So many coaches leave corporate but still operate from employee programming.

Waiting for permission.
Overthinking every move.
Playing safe.
Avoiding visibility.
Needing certainty before taking action.

The problem usually isn’t the strategy.
It’s the programming behind the actions.

You can’t build a thriving business while still thinking like an employee.

🌟 Hello, Wonderful Community! Meet the Face Behind the Journey 🌟

I’m thrilled to connect with all of you here on Instagram and share a bit
about who I am and the journey that has brought me to this moment. For those
who don’t know me yet, my name is Shelley and I’m passionate about
empowering women to break internal barriers and step into their financial
power.

My story began in the arborist industry, where I spent 25 years deeply
rooted in learning resilience and determination. Through unexpected twists, including taking over an arborist business during a challenging time in mylife, I learned the power of perseverance. Despite the odds and the
naysayers, I grew the business to over $1.3 million and eventually sold it,
proving to myself and others that anything is possible with determination.

But my journey didn’t stop there. During those years, I discovered a
passion for personal development and coaching. It was through my own
experiences and the guidance of incredible coaches that I realized my true calling: to help other women break internal barriers and step into their
financial power.

I believe in the transformative power of embracing change and following
your passion. My mission is to support and inspire you on your journey to
financial empowerment.
