The 2026 duck hunting season closes 30 minutes after sunset on Monday, 8 June 2026.

Ahead of the closing weekend, we’re reminding everyone to act responsibly and safely.

The daily bag limit is nine game ducks per person and the Blue-winged Shoveler cannot be hunted.

For information on where to hunt, wetland closures, responsible hunting methods and laws, and how to reduce wounding, visit: https://shorturl.at/KcPcX

People are urged to report illegal hunting and illegal protester activity to the GMA at gma.vic.gov.au, or by calling 136 186.

GMA Authorised Officers and Victoria Police will continue to patrol public and private land across Victoria.

Thank you to all those who are hunting safely and acting responsibly this duck season.

The condition of regional roads is a real concern for our community. The RACV My Country Road Survey is now open, giving Victorians the chance to share their firsthand experiences of regional roads and highways.

Your feedback will help RACV better understand which roads are causing the greatest safety concerns and strengthen advocacy for safer road design and much‑needed investment in improvements.

If you’ve got thoughts (or frustrations!) about the state of our roads, this is a constructive way to make your voice count.

👉 Take the survey and have your say:
