I think many small business owners are carrying far more pressure than they need to.

Not because they’re doing anything wrong — but because they’re trying to lead businesses without enough clarity, structure or support around them.

Over the years, one thing has become really clear to me:Businesses operate best when people, systems, communication and numbers work together. When business owners have:
✔ visibility
✔ structure
✔ clear communication
✔ confidence in their systems …everything feels calmer, more sustainable and far less reactive.

One of the reasons this next chapter feels so aligned is because the vision at My Business Keeper strongly reflects what I’ve always believed business support should look like:

Compliance. Clarity. Confidence. 🤍

I think one of the biggest emotional pieces of this transition for me has been making sure the heart behind Grounded HR stayed protected.

Because this business was never just about policies, compliance or HR advice. It was built from:
🤍 relationships
🤍 trust
🤍 values
🤍 real conversations
🤍 wanting business owners to feel genuinely supported

None of that disappears because the structure around me is evolving.
Everything I created with Grounded HR — the feel, the heart and the people-first approach — is simply relocating into a bigger support ecosystem. And I feel privileged to be gifted this opportunity.

The business owner who’s always available.
The leader who carries everything.
The person who keeps pushing no matter what’s happening behind the scenes.

For a long time, I think I believed that was what “good leadership” looked like too.

But lately, I’ve realised that sustainable leadership actually requires:
- support
- collaboration
- systems
- trust
- people around you

Not because you’re incapable of doing it alone… but because you were never meant to.

This mindset shift has changed how I choose to work.

One thing I think is really important for people to know is that this transition didn’t happen quickly or impulsively.
Grounded HR and have actually worked closely together behind the scenes for over two years as professional partners.

Over time, it became really clear that we shared the same values around supporting small businesses:
🤍 practical support
🤍 sustainable growth
🤍 relationships
🤍 people-first leadership
🤍 helping business owners feel less alone

I think we slowly realised we were trying to solve the same challenges for business owners… just from different angles.

This next chapter feels less like “starting over” and more like building on something that already existed naturally!

One of the questions I've been asked most since sharing my announcement is:

"So what actually changes?"

The answer is surprisingly simple.

The structure around me is changing.

The heart behind my work isn't.

The people-first approach that Grounded HR was built on remains.

The relationships I've built with clients remain.

The practical, calm and human approach to HR remains.

The HR Link remains.

The industries I support remain.

The incredible referral and collaboration partnerships I've built with accountants, bookkeepers, VAs, HR consultants, recruiters and other specialists remain.

What is changing is the support around me.

I'll be part of a larger team with broader expertise, stronger infrastructure and more capacity to support the businesses I work with.

For clients, that means access to a more connected support ecosystem while still receiving the same personalised HR guidance they've come to know and trust.

Grounded HR isn't disappearing.

It's evolving.

And while the logo on the door may change, the values, relationships and people-first support at the centre of everything I do remain exactly the same 🤍

Thank you for all the kind messages, encouragement and support this week. It has meant more than you know.

I've been asked a few times over the last week:

"𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲?"

The answer comes back to one simple question: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗜 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁?

Over the last two years, Grounded HR and My Business Keeper have worked closely together behind the scenes, supporting shared clients and collaborating on complex business challenges.

What became obvious was that most business issues aren't just HR issues.

They're often connected to leadership, compliance, systems, finances, growth, or strategy.

And when your advisors work together, the outcomes are better.

You spend less time trying to connect the dots.

You receive more consistent advice.

Problems are solved faster.

And you have access to a broader network of expertise when you need it.

That's why this move made sense.

It allows me to continue delivering the same people-first HR support you've always known me for, while being part of a larger support ecosystem designed to help small businesses navigate the realities of growth with greater confidence.

The relationships, values and support that sit at the heart of Grounded HR aren't changing.

What is changing is the strength of the team around me and the breadth of support available to the businesses I work with.

For me, that's the real opportunity.

Better support for the people and businesses who trust us to help them lead their teams well.

Thank you for being part of the journey.

Big news 🤍

I wanted to share this with you personally because so many of you have been part of the Grounded HR journey.

After a lot of reflection over the last few months, I'm excited to officially share that from 1 July 2026, I'll be joining My Business Keeper as their Head of HR and part of the leadership team.

This isn't a sudden decision or a brand-new relationship. Grounded HR and My Business Keeper have worked closely together behind the scenes for more than two years as professional partners, and over that time it became incredibly clear that we shared the same values and vision for supporting small businesses.

One of the biggest things I've realised recently is that sustainable businesses need support systems. The people leading those businesses need them too.

This next step allows me to continue delivering the people-first HR support I'm so passionate about, while building stronger infrastructure, support and capacity around both myself and the businesses I work with.

Most importantly, I want to reassure you that Grounded HR isn't disappearing.

Everything you've loved about Grounded HR — the relationships, the conversations, the people-first approach, the support and the heart behind it — is simply relocating into a bigger ecosystem of support.

To me, this feels less like an ending and more like the natural next chapter of a journey that's been evolving for quite some time.

Thank you for trusting me, supporting Grounded HR and being part of this journey. I genuinely couldn't have done it without you.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue this work in a way that feels deeply aligned with where both Grounded HR and I are heading.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Grounded HR to this point 🤍

I think for a long time I believed strong leadership meant holding everything together on your own.

Being available constantly.
Doing more.
Carrying more.
Proving yourself through output.

But I’ve been reflecting on how much life changes as we grow.
Priorities shift.
Kids grow up.
Parents get older.

And suddenly success starts looking a little different.

I don’t want to build a business that only works if I hold everything alone anymore.

I want to build something collaborative.
Supported.
Sustainable.
Human.
Not smaller impact…
Just a healthier way of creating it.

I think the type of business leader I want to become now is someone who creates impact with support around her — not at the expense of herself.

That feels like a really important shift

Has your definition of success or leadership changed over the years?

Over the last few months, I’ve been reflecting deeply on what small businesses actually need to thrive long-term.
Not quick fixes.
Not disconnected advice.
Not more overwhelm.

The businesses that grow sustainably usually have something really important in common: their support systems work together.

HR conversations connect to leadership. Leadership connects to finances. Finances connect to stress levels and decision-making. Systems connect to sustainability.

I think the future of business support is far more collaborative, connected and human than it has been in the past — and that vision feels really aligned for me right now.

What’s one thing you think small businesses need more of right now?
