I am never surprised at the things I find these days. Some things you would not believe if I told you without proof.

Edit: since this was posted, a very few percentage of plumbers have pointed out the actual reason for this and the easy solution, most plumbers however were also baffled.
If you follow my posts you will see this one was a bit of humour in my day.

When I see “Good tilers” waterproofing and laying tiles over existing tiles I do this!!! 🤦🏾 I’ve been told multiple times that it works fine and I don’t know what I’m on about, yet the majority of bathrooms that I have inspected where a bathroom renovation has been performed over existing original tiles ends up like this!! You will never convince me that you can guarantee the adhesion of the new tile work.

Roofing strikes again!! S**t tradesmen are all too common these days unfortunately, and the consumer is fed up with it. It pays to have your renovation or new construction work inspected before handover of the final payment so you are not left in a predicament like this.

STAGED BUILDING INSPECTIONS ✅ There’s a ton of supervisors out there these days that are not competent and these guys are the ones responsible for building your dream home and likely your biggest investment. I’d hate to know what’s hidden on constructions that I only just called in for the Hanover inspection and not full staged inspections during the build process.

Purchasing an existing property? This was a pre purchase building inspection in Normanville performed in the cooling off period of the sale contract. This was one of the issues found during the inspection. One simple screw up from a carpenter at construction has caused this unnecessary defect. The backwards door tread has allowed water to flow inward and cause fungal decay and drumming floor tiles in the laundry. This can also make the perfect environment that termites like, and attract them if they are close by. A pre purchase inspection always pays for itself.

Last staged inspection for the year at Clayton Bay. A few items found that need to be rectified before the next step is performed in these areas. The defects found will greatly lengthen the life of the wet areas if these issues were not found during construction.
