Purchasing an existing property? This was a pre purchase building inspection in Normanville performed in the cooling off period of the sale contract. This was one of the issues found during the inspection. One simple screw up from a carpenter at construction has caused this unnecessary defect. The backwards door tread has allowed water to flow inward and cause fungal decay and drumming floor tiles in the laundry. This can also make the perfect environment that termites like, and attract them if they are close by. A pre purchase inspection always pays for itself.

Last staged inspection for the year at Clayton Bay. A few items found that need to be rectified before the next step is performed in these areas. The defects found will greatly lengthen the life of the wet areas if these issues were not found during construction.

Again! NO SUGAR COATING HERE! Rubbish tradies are doing my head in these days. The standard and quality is not acceptable. This tiler has demanded full payment or he will not come back to finish the job. He’s told my client not to get an inspection as she is wasting her money as he has been tilling for 30 years. Both of these bathrooms need to be completely started again and by a competent tradesperson, not him! Substandard workmanship doesn’t even describe this job. Absolute disgrace. Seriously get a new job mate! .

No Sugar coated post here. RAW post incoming!! Seriously!! I’ve had enough! Some builders and trades are doing my head in these days. The lack of care or skill is mind boggling. I get phone calls from builders having a dig at me about my reports. My response to them is “ your phone calls would be more beneficial calling the trade that did the substandard work” But NO! They would rather take your money and produce a rubbish product. The issues I’m reporting on should be what the building supervisor should be picking and getting rectified. Quality is not as common as you’d think.

A Inspection today on a new construction in Munno Para. This client has opted for the Multi Stage Inspection Combo which starts at the first fix frame stage, all the way through to handover. It is refreshing to see waterproofing being installed/applied and no rectification’s are needed. Wet area inspections for a while there were substandard with multiple rectifications needed.

Performing a Staged Building Inspection on a new very large 3 level home in Rostrevor, South Australia. This particular builder I really like and would happily build with them. Rectifications of two railheads are needed to be compliant. This is a common oversight that roof plumbers make and if not bought to light will always end up a major issue in the future. Guaranteed!! With the height and cost the construction this is something that can’t be missed. This one defect found during a staged inspection will save thousands in the future.

What do you think could be the cause of this failed moisture test reading? I’ll post a detailed video tonight. One of many reasons it’s worth while to book an inspection before finalising your purchase.
