It gives me great gratitude and pleasure to share a podcast I recently did with one of the most amazing organisations in WA.

DV Assist is an organisation that provides free counseling, and specifically trauma counseling, for women in regional and rural and remote Western Australia who have left unhelpful family and domestic violence situations.

This podcast was a blessing and an opportunity for me to share a portion of my journey. It mostly is though, a way to show how I've used the written word through poetry to help heal my body from stored trauma.

The collection of poems written during that year of healing is called - The Phoenix Layers: Healing through words.

It will be published soon and used as a fundraising opportunity to donate money towards DV Assist.

I want to show there is a way forward with different modalities and there is life and after which really are once you get there.

Opportunites to reset, rechart, rebuild and find freedom again.

More excitingly, though is that I will in the new year I will release programs and advocacy support for people experiencing various hardships and challenges where continue to , attempt to break you, and perpetually hold you in a state of and .

These programs, workshops and advocacy classes will be provided through my economics consulting business - Economics with Aussie Heart with Heart.

So stay tuned!

I hope you find and hear the , , and at times the and nature of .

Thank you to Dawn for being on that healing and counselling journey with me, and to Lisa who I seek counsel from time to time on the next stage of healing.

Thank you to the CEO of DV Assist Ella and Deb, the Team Leader for giving me this great opportunity to share my experience and the wisdoms I've gathered through that process.

And of course thanks to my Mum, Goddesses who Support in the South West of WA and Perth and Melbourne and my wider family. I am forever grateful for your , for sitting in very , and .

Speak or chat with a qualified and experienced counsellor who understands the unique challenges of experiencing family and domestic violence in regional, rural and remote Western Australia.

Congratulations to the Hon Roger Cook MLA for such an epic result!

Bigger congratulations to ABC Perth and Mr Anthony Green who will fill your big shoes??? Amazing political commentating career - thank you for holding elections and it's politicians accountable

WA voted now it's time to fix the **t

Not long for the WA polls to come in.

Hopefully you vote with your power and choose politicians and parties that mean something to you.

Good luck to all candidates and those going for re-election.

We await the results with baited breath!

The biggest lesson you need to learn and understand is how does the two-party preferred system operate.

Ie. When you vote do you understand that you are not necessarily voting solely for your first candidate choice?

What do I mean? Well in Australia we use the preference system to get our ballot papers to a outright majority.

The federal government uses a specific type of preference system and states and territories do too.

Today we will be sharing more on this important issue so that you can understand where your second and even third preferences may end up when you vote for a specific colour team!

Stay tuned!

So pre-polling is alive and well, postal votes have been received. I've sent back my completed ballots papers have you?

This is a personal post and view and major concern I have which is why I am doing this project to educate as a gift to society. It's just not good enough! No accountability police at all!! Who is going to hold our Australian Government to ACCOUNT??? You can.
In the week leading up to the WA State Election on the 8th March we will run online events for free to share knowledge and explain:
1. the preferential voting system
2. key parliamentary process that you need to understand
3. what key policy commitments from major parties actually mean
4. the role of independents and smaller parties in this election and future elections

So this just happened?Any thoughts?? Comment below

Good announcement by the WA Labor and Premier the Hon Roger Cook MLA.

Housing crisis is real. Love the concept and look forward to seeing the detail if the Roger Cook Government is re-elected on 8 March 2025.

However.....

1. What is the allocation in - of the 1,000 shared equity (up to 35%) homes?

2. Will modular apartments and townhouses meet the dwelling needs of regional West Aussies?

3. Will the budget of $210M factor in the cost to meet BAL ratings for bushfire management and build in the regions?

4. Will the build meet weather issues in the regions eg. high wind regions like the entire South Coast of WA and parts of the Western Coastline in The South West REgion?

5. What does a larger roll out look like for an ERC Sub-Cabinet decision once the if re-elected Cook Government rolls out the first phase in the first half of 2026?

6. How many modular builds will be included in the pilot project for the first half of 2026?

Affordable home ownership will continue to be a key priority for a re-elected Cook Labor Government, with the announcement today thousands of Western Australians will be supported into home ownership for the first time.
