A day for community, connection and remembering ❤️

We’re proud to support the Forever Loved Family Fun Day – a day that brings the community together to remember and honour those we’ve lost to su***de.

There’ll be plenty happening for the whole family with free rides, a sausage sizzle, face painting, markets and music. But at the heart of the day is the opportunity to come together, share stories, remember the people we’ve lost and support one another.

Because sometimes being together, making memories and finding some moments of joy can be an important part of healing too.

📅Sunday 6 September

⏰10am – 2pm

📍Muswellbrook Showgrounds

We hope to see you there.

Expert insight on mine closure 🧐

Earlier this year BHP hosted Dr Pete Whitbread-Abrutat, co-author of the book ‘102 Things To Do With A Hole In The Ground’.

Dr Pete’s book draws on stories from around the world to explore innovative ways to repurpose mine sites and regenerate communities, focusing on ecological integrity and community renewal.

During his weeklong visit, Dr Pete met with a cross section of our team and stakeholders to discuss our transition progress and provide advice drawn from his extensive research. His insights have made a valuable contribution to our ongoing transition work.

From the iconic Bayswater Blues to the BHP orange high-vis we see today – Infrastructure Maintenance Technician, Sean, has donned them all in his 30 years on the tools at Mt Arthur Coal.

But it’s not just the ‘get-up’ that’s changed in that time.

We’re proud to be sponsoring the Singleton Rugby Club Juniors for the next three years! 🐂🐂🐂

Our sponsorship helps to reduce registration fees for Junior players, making sport more accessible for local families.

Grassroots clubs like the Bulls do so much more than grow great players; they bring people together, keep kids active and help build stronger communities.

We’re excited to play a small part in supporting the club and can’t wait to see everyone out on the field this season. 🏉
