A great few days delivering the final two components of Australian Wool Innovation’s Flystrike Extension Program - StrateFly and AmpliFly. It was terrific to bring these together with the team from AWI, AWI Extension NSW, wool grower advisors and industry experts from NSW Agriculture, Meat & Livestock Australia and AGBU.

These two components join the other offerings under the Flystrike Extension Program we’ve been working on with AWI: It’s Fly Time!, DemystiFly, SimpliFly and ClassiFly.

And that’s a wrap on two days facilitating the Australian Agricultural Sustainability Framework (AASF) Community of Practice (COP) on behalf of National Farmers’ Federation (NFF).

We heard some hard messages and worked to find solutions to some of the big problems facing agriculture in relation to sustainability.

Special Representative for Australian Agricultural Su McCluskey put to the Community that we need to do more to shore up our reputation internationally and that the AASF is being seen as the answer to a problem we share with many other countries in this space.

Demonstrating our sustainability credentials as Team Australia is becoming increasingly important and indicators and data are key to enabling this – but they’re not simple and require cross-sectoral collaboration and problem solving, which is exactly the purpose of the AASF Community of Practice.
