🐜 WHAT STARTED WITH A TERMITE NEST IN A TREE LED TO THIS…
We were recently called to a property in Cardiff South after the homeowner noticed a termite nest in a tree on the property.
As a precaution, they made the smart decision to have the house professionally inspected for termites.
During our inspection, we discovered active termites in the subfloor along with extensive termite damage to the bearers and floor joists.
Interestingly, the termite genus attacking the house was different to the termites found in the nest outside — a good reminder that seeing one obvious source of termite activity doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story.
Termites can be active in concealed areas of a property with very few obvious signs from inside the home.
If you notice a termite nest, mud leads, damaged timber or anything else suspicious around your property, don’t disturb it — arrange a professional termite inspection.
