Folklore says the boat was left at Mystery Bay to rot away over several decades. Really? Then why no photographs by anyone, including Tilba resident William Henry Corkhill, a grazier, cheesemaker and amateur photographer? Since the boat was the key crime scene, with bullets and the belongings of Lamont Young and Max Schneider, why were no photos taken? I offer a $250 reward for a photograph. Police took pictures of Mystery Bay in November 1880 (attached), but there is no green boat with a white stripe. How and why is this even possible? Nobody was ever charged with the crime of disappearnace/killing of 5 men here in 1880. The descendants of Lamont Young deserve justice and the truth. I hope I can help them in some small way by establishing the most probable motive for murder. Again, the 3 fishermen who owned the boat were murdered to cover the motive for the murders of Young and Schneider. Its gold fever. Nothing else makes sense, as the Select Committee report stated in 1883. There is no logic or motive for the murder of 5 men. Read the last paragraph of the report (attached) for yourself.

Understanding the Bermagui Murder Mystery requires gaining an appreciation of how my key suspects - the police and goldfield wardens - were able to investigate and cover up their own crime by vilifying a range of suspects (But charging nobody). Among the many suspects that police 'interviewed' was a Bermagui man named William 'Bill' Campbell. His descendants have lived in shame for quite some time, but 'Bill' was cleared as a suspect in 1898 by a private investigator who handed his report to the Police Chief of NSW. William's descendants live in Bermagui. Some of them are my neighbours. William became a suspect because of the testimony of Charlie Jaggers, who lived on the Bermagui River. Jaggers layed the blame on William as a suspicious character, and was awarded with 20-pounds to testify at the special investigation in Sydney in 1883. Read the findings for yourself. The Campbells can breathe easy. Justice at last. The reason that William Campbell interests me so much is because he saw Lamont Young on a horse at Montreal goldfield on Saturday 9 October. This supports the theory that Lamont Young rode his horse from his home in Mittagong to Bermagui, and didnt travel by ship from Sydney as police claim. They also claim he stayed at Bermagui and might have been murdered there. BS. William's evidence is significant because it places Lamont Young at the home of the gold magistrate John Hobbes, a fact that Hobbes always denied, saying he saw but never met Lamont Young (even though he was standing 15 metres away talking to the goldfield warden Henry Keightley at Montreal Goldfield (during the afternoon of 9 October). Im working on a book and video documentary. Interested parties are welcome to participate. The descendants of Lamont Young are very interested. The truth is out there, but we need to dig deep to find it.

A descendant of Lamont Young who vanished here in 1880 while surveying a goldfield has been located. Simon Young is the nephew of uncle Roger Lamont Young who attended a murder mystery tour here in 2019 to mark the 139th anniversary. Despite three indepndent police investigations no suspects were arrested or charged. Simon is a media specialist with a groovy webpage. Simon disclosed that Roger (pictured left) is not in good health at the moment. Sorry to hear it. I hope to meet Simon and other descendants at Mystery Bay and get their feedback on my theory on the 1880 Bermagui Mystery'. MTC.

5 men including the government geologist disappeared from a goldfield on the coast line of New South Wales, Australia in 1880. Was gold fever to blame? 145 years ago today, colonial police went to investigate the discovery of a boat found wrecked at Mystery Bay. The police officer, also the Bermagui gold warden, immediately ruled an accident with 5 men lost at sea. My research shows that Lamont Young and his assistant Max Schneider were never in that boat. Only their camping gear was found onboard. Police covered up this crime (that they committed to protect their interests on the goldfield) by ensuring that no photographic evidence of the boat was ever recorded. When will justice be served?

The murders of this nation building governmentment geologist is as disgraceful as the far lefts applause of the assassination of Charlie kirk. Book and movie coming soon. Jealousy and hatred is the root cause of evil and murder.

I bought the last 5 copies of The Bermagui Mystery on Ebay, with the intent of creating a database for the dissemination of information about this 145 year old enigma. I am in the process of writing a new book on this subject because Australia deserves a better explanation that the police narrative that covered up their crime.

News Flash. Police investigating the 1880 Bermagui Mystery claimed that government geologist Lamont Young and his assistance Max Schneider sailed from Sydney to Bermagui on the steamer Truganini. This is also claimed in the only book ever published on the Bermagui mystery ('Five Men Vanished', published 1978), but this was not possible. From 1879 to December 1880, the steamer operated in Tasmanian waters. This supports my theory that Lamont Young rode his horse from his home at Mittagong to Bermagui, as he had always done when surveying goldfields in NSW. TRUGANINI 203 gross tons, 130 net. AI does not dictate my storyline. I only use AI to turn text and images into video. AI offers alternative narratives, which I reject because it becomes a Disney Woke movie. I will hone my skills and create my own video documentary. I wasnt happy with quotes for a video doco and their storyline. Wait and see.
