I am taking part in the 2012 MS Moonlight Walk in order to raise much-needed funds for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common disease of the central nervous system and affects more than23,000Australians.

We will again be enjoying Melbourne Cup HOWEVER THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE OF VENUE FOR A BRILLIANT CAUSE. A good friend of ours has been recently diagnosed with Leukaemia and we'd like to support the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland for all the ongoing assistance they give tirelessly to our friend and their family. Choose the Chalk for your Melbourne Cup day celebrations and you will be supporting the Leukaemia Foundation. Tickets are $105pp and include a champagne cocktail, four hour beverage package, platters, canapes, entertainment, raffles, sweeps, fashions on the field and races on large screen TVs. For everyone wondering about the new superannuation increase, the following should help you understand.

The new 12% super will be phased in over a period of time and is not immediate.

When the changes do start, there will be two 0.25% increases, in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

These will be followed by an increase of 0.5% every year until the superannuation guarantee reaches 12% 2019-20.
