Home of the VA podcast, Outsourcing Mysteries Exposed. If you’re looking for a Virtual Assistant network, that not only looks after Virtual Assistants but also cares for fellow business owners, then here it is. Introducing the Virtually Yours network. Over 17 years ago, I (head VA and mother duck) started Virtually Yours. Being a VA before it was ‘trendy’, I was a

pioneer in the industry. Quickly growing my own successful business, I soon realised that my real passion lies in helping other VAs start out. There’s nothing I love more than sharing my knowledge with new VAs to help them grow. There’s plenty of work out there for VAs so the more the merrier I say. It can be tricky at the start to work out what this means for you. Virtual Assistants who join my mentoring team, have quickly nutted out their unique selling proposition, being able to target their marketing efforts and many finding a full client load within their first year of business. It seems I have a talent for dragging this out of my mentees. And with the Virtual Assistant quickly growing within Australia, so is the Virtually Yours network. Not only will you have access to jobleads, but you’ll form some firm friendships with other VAs. Working virtually can sometimes feel lonely, but you’re never fully alone when you have access to colleagues on the friendliest VA network in Australia. Virtually Yours also supports business owners who are looking for a Virtual Assistant. If you’re a business owner who is thinking about working with a VA, but you’re unsure of how it will all work, have a chat with us. And if you’re unsure what you could use a VA for, here’s a small example.
• General administration: answering emails/phone calls, typing, word processing…
• Database updating/maintenance
• Graphic Design
• Website design/maintenance
• Copywriting
• Bookkeeping
I could bang on for hours with business chores you can outsource but I want you to take a moment to make your own list. Sit down and think about all the LST (Life Sapping Tasks) that drain your energy, that drain the love from your business. Now contact us with that list and let us help you find the perfect VA, or team of VAs who can help you. With over 170 VAs to connect with, you’re sure to find a VA who you click with. And remember, a good VA is your administrative assistant, but a GREAT VA is more like a business partner. Work with some of the best VAs in Australia. The real mark of leadership? Wanting your legacy to grow bigger, louder, and more polished than you ever made it yourself.

On the podcast, Rosie was brutally honest in the best way.

When asked what she hoped VYVA would become, she didn’t hesitate:

“I wanted it to level up. I’m excited to watch it grow into something where I can say… ‘Sh*t, I didn’t do that. That’s so cool.’”

That’s the heart of a founder who built something with purpose and then released it with trust.
She wanted the brand to evolve.
She wanted the community to expand.
She wanted it to be polished with a lot of swear words polished, as she put it.
(A vibe. A brand. An identity.)

And now, as we shape VYVA into its next era, it’s becoming exactly that:
✨ A stronger voice
✨ A clearer structure
✨ A more elevated experience
✨ A community with depth, support, standards, and strategy
✨ A space that holds VAs through every stage of their evolution

This isn’t the same model Rosie ran and that’s the beauty of it.
Founders evolve.
Communities evolve.
Movements evolve.

And VYVA is levelling up in ways that honour where it came from
while boldly stepping into where it’s meant to go.

If you’re still waiting for permission to be “real” in your business…
Here it is: STOP. 🔥
The comments on this week’s poll said the quiet part out loud so many VAs are still second-guessing themselves, wondering if they’re “allowed” to show up as they really are…
Wondering if their business is “real.”
Wondering if they’re doing it “right.”
Wondering if they’re allowed to trust their own voice.
But here’s the thing no one taught us growing up:
👉 You don’t need permission to lead your own damn business.
👉 You only need guidance from people who already have what you want.
Everyone else?
The doubters, the sideline critics, the keyboard philosophers at the family BBQ?
They’re not the council of your life.
They are not qualified advisors.
And they sure as hell haven’t built what you’re trying to build.
If someone hasn’t stood where you’re going their opinion isn’t wisdom.
It’s noise.
The only people you should take advice from are the ones who have already done what you want to achieve…
because they KNOW.
They walk the talk.
They’ve lived the reality not the fear.
This is VYVA:
Where VAs stop asking “Am I allowed?”
and start saying “Watch me.”
Drop a 💥 if you’re done waiting for permission and ready to build with women who actually get it.

Being memorable in business doesn’t mean being louder.

It means being human.

A lot of people walk into networking rooms thinking they need the perfect pitch.

So they rehearse it.
Deliver it.
Push it out as quickly as possible.

And the person on the other side immediately shuts down.

Not because they’re rude.
Because no one likes being sold to before they’ve even finished saying hello.

The people who are remembered at events usually do something much simpler.

They make people feel comfortable.

Sometimes it’s their style.
A bright blazer.
A recognisable energy.
Something that makes you think, “Oh yes, I remember them.”

But more often it’s how they show up.

They’re curious.
They ask good questions.
They listen properly.
They make the conversation feel easy.

And people never forget how you made them feel.

If you’re building a VA business, this matters more than the perfect elevator pitch.

Clients and collaborators are not looking for the smoothest seller in the room.

They’re looking for someone they’d actually want to speak to again.

If this shifted how you think about networking, save it for later.

Or send it to someone who’s tired of feeling like they have to perform just to be remembered.

If your personal and business money are sleeping in the same bed… your business is already in trouble. 💥💳
This is one of the non-negotiables of running a real business and yet so many VAs skip it.
Personal money 🤝 business money
= chaos
= missed deductions
= no clue if you’re actually profitable
VA Rebellion rule #1 👇
Separate. The. Damn. Accounts.
Here’s why it matters more than you think:
🔥 You stop missing deductions
If business expenses live in your personal account, they get forgotten.
Forgotten = not claimed = money left on the table.
🔥 You can actually see profitability in real time
If everything is mixed together, your numbers are lying to you.
Your business account should tell a clean, honest story instantly.
🔥 You create a clear audit trail
If the business account is empty?
➡️ Transfer money from personal → business
➡️ Then pay the expense
Not the other way around.
Ever.
Because that audit trail?
That’s what protects you, your accountant, and your sanity.
This is why it’s the first thing we make clients fix.
Not later.
Not “once I make more money.”
Now.
VA Rebellion truth ⚔️
You cannot scale what you can’t clearly see.
And you can’t see clearly when your money is a mess.
Separate accounts = clarity.
Clarity = control.
Control = power.

A bad day isn’t caused by what happens to you it’s caused by what you do with it. ⚡
This one’s confronting, but powerful.
Most of us say:
“I’m having a s**t day because XYZ happened.”
But the real shift happens when you realise this 👇
The event isn’t what makes the day s**t.
Your reaction is.
That doesn’t mean trauma, loss, or genuinely awful things “don’t count.”
They absolutely do.
This isn’t about bypassing real pain or pretending hard things are fine.
This is about responsibility.
Two people can experience the same disruption, the same frustration, the same setback One spirals all day.
The other feels it… then chooses to move themselves out of it.
That choice?
That’s power.
Staying angry. Staying resentful. Staying stuck.
Those are not accidents they’re unconscious decisions.
And the moment you see that?
You stop being at the mercy of your day.
You stop handing your energy to circumstances.
You take the driver’s seat back.
That’s not “toxic positivity.”
That’s leadership.
That’s nervous-system awareness.
That’s VA Rebellion-level self-responsibility.
You don’t control everything that happens.
But you do control how long it owns you.
And that’s where real freedom starts. 🔥

New episode of The VA Rebellion Podcast is live.

Most VAs and small business owners don't have a numbers problem. They have a systems problem.

You're running your business across five tools that don't talk to each other, chasing invoices in one tab, reconciling in another, and still not really sure where the business is at.

This week, Kerrie sits down with Johann Oberholzer, Founder and CEO of Sole App, to talk about what happens when the back end of your business finally works the way you do.

They get into:
→ Where fragmented tools are quietly eating into your time and your margins
→ What an integrated tech stack actually looks like for a service business
→ Automating invoicing and follow ups so getting paid stops being a chase
→ The first steps to simplifying your numbers without overhauling everything

This episode also marks something bigger. Sole App is partnering with VYVA on a tailored version of the platform built specifically for Virtual Assistants, launching in June.

Less admin. More clarity. Stronger business.

“The Psychology Behind Boundaries (The Part No One Talks About)”
Everyone loves to talk strategy.
Everyone loves to talk pricing.
But when it comes to boundaries?
Ohhhh, that’s where the real work begins. 👀
You can have the perfect package, the perfect scope, the perfect contract…
But if you crumble emotionally the moment someone pushes your line?
It doesn’t matter.
Your business will still bleed.
Because boundaries aren’t just systems.
They’re psychology.
They’re emotional regulation.
They’re learning to hold the line even when it feels uncomfortable.
This is the part where most VAs fall apart not because they’re bad at business, but because no one ever taught them how to hold a boundary without guilt, fear, or the urge to over-explain.
Outcome-based pricing is one conversation.
But holding your standards?
That’s a whole different level of self-trust.
Welcome to the work that actually changes your business.
Welcome to the Rebellion. ⚡️

Your business will grow faster when you stop trying to be everything… and start bringing in the strengths you don’t have.

On the podcast, Rosie said something so important about leadership:
“You brought what I don’t. I’ve always believed in bringing in what you don’t excel at.”

That’s what makes a movement powerful when different strengths meet, the whole community rises.

Her gift was confidence, safety, and creating a space where women could show up as themselves and build a business on their terms.

And one of the biggest things she advocated for?
Charging properly.
Not inflated, not unrealistic but respectfully and unapologetically.

She joked about her “ranty pants” coming out when VAs undercharged…
because she knew what most women forget:
🔥 Confidence grows when your pricing reflects your value
🔥 Freedom grows when your business pays you well
🔥 Identity grows when you stop shrinking to make others comfortable

Bringing in different strengths doesn’t weaken a brand it makes it whole.

It gives every member permission to step into the version of themselves they’ve been holding back.

Inside VYVA, we don’t let you play small.
We don’t let you undercharge.
We don’t let you forget who the hell you are.
