As we all learn and grow, we gradually understand what really matters to us. My bible tells me that "the race is not for the swift, neither is the battle for the strong, but it is unto those that put their trust in God".
I was speaking with fellow civil engineer 2 days ago and he narrated a shocking event. His boss had just lost his only son less than 14 days to the end of 2021. Yes, a millionaire just lost his son, but the sadest part of the story was that both father and son were not on talking terms. He narrated how the father and son had made an attempt few weeks before the sad event to make up, but whether this was successful, I don't know.
It then begs the question, how come, why so, what went wrong. He must have grown up in a well to do home where nothing was lacking or so I thought. Therefore, as we all strive and work very hard to achieve financial abundance, please ensure you don't neglect the kids who you're working hard to provide for.
My own parents succeeded in training 4 children. I don't have any yet, so who will be on the losing end if I forget them. The answer is simple, I'll be the loser. Parents please don't neglect your children, and children please don't never forget them either. After all, nobody is self-made.
