Anybody else out there have a serial catnapper? You’ve just popped bubby down for a nap, cleaned all the bottles, boiled the kettle and chucked a load of washing on and your baby is awake again.
The exhaustion is REAL not just for you but for your baby! Whilst many babies are biologically wired to catnap, these short naps aren’t restorative enough to give them physical, emotional and mental rest. This can lead to shorter awake windows, grumpiness and overtiredness.
Overtiredness leads to frequent night wakeups, early morning wakeups and more catnaps. Vicious cycle eh?
Don’t worry, it’s not all doom and gloom! This is why I’ve created my 4-12 month sleep guide!! In this guide I unpack catnaps and how to manage them. I help you choose the best nap of the day to try and resettle and guide you through how exactly to resettle, when to throw in the towel if they refuse to get back to sleep and how to manage when you’ve thrown in the towel. Designed to walk you through step by step how to troubleshoot your baby’s catnapping habits and teach them to take longer naps. You can go at your own pace and reach out for a “Deep Dive Call” if you need a bit of personalised support.
If you’re the exhausted mama however that just needs someone to tell you what to do that will work specifically for your baby and your unique situation – why don’t you consider one of my personalised support packages? Here, I write you up a comprehensive sleep assessment based on your babes specific situation, then write you up a personalised sleep train plan that matches their temperament and your parenting style. We can then have daily contact together (and can throw in a home visit and phone calls if you please!) where I can coach, support, guide and cheer you on as well as tweak the plan if we think things need to change once we’re into the throes of sleep training.
Send me a DM or check out the link in my bio if you’re ready to get some help to navigate your baby’s catnapping habits and bring some epic sleep back into your family.🤱🏼💕
