We had to remove water damaged oak boards in the staff quarters of a stately home in Buckinghamshire, UK. We installed select grade boards of the same dimension and then sanded and finished in Osmo ‘Walnut’ colour tints for a seamless Matt finish with Osmo high polyx oil. Radiators were also removed and reinstalled to ensure an optimal finish was achieved.

After sanding to remove deep scratches and wear in this baked oak floor we finished it in Osmo 3044 raw colour tints oil and matt top coats of Osmo high polyx oil. The small amount of added white pigment in the ‘raw’ oil gives a subtle highlight of the soft grain in a lighter tone and counter acts the natural darkening of the dark baked oak floor when oil is used in coating it.

We installed this solid oak parquet block floor earlier in the year for Analytic Building Contractors at their clients property in Chiswick West London. It was then sanded and finished with Osmo colour tints, ‘honey’. Final coats of Osmo high polyx oil in Matt sheen for the top coats.
