Today, on International Workers’ Memorial Day, we take a moment to remember those who have lost their lives at work, or from work-related injury or disease.

We remember those who went to work and never came home.

And we resolve to never let it happen again.

My Government’s Work Health and Safety Bill, currently before the Upper House, not only creates a safer workplace for Western Australians.

It will make sure those responsible for workplace deaths are held to account, establishing the offence of industrial manslaughter.

Workers, no matter where they work, no matter who they are, deserve to come home safe.
