Anger and pride often walk hand in hand 🔥: The Bible reminds us in Proverbs that “pride goes before destruction,” and we see this clearly in the story of Pharaoh—his hardened heart refused correction, and it led to downfall 🧱: Pride whispers, “I’m right,” even when God is trying to lovingly redirect us. And when pride is challenged, anger rises—not because we are strong, but because something inside us refuses to surrender 🙏:
Think about King Saul, when corrected, he defended himself instead of humbling his heart before God : His anger and insecurity pushed him further away from God’s purpose. That’s what pride does, it blocks growth, shuts down wisdom, and pushes away the very people God may be using to guide us 💔: A teachable heart will grow, but a prideful one will resist, react, and often break relationships along the way.
There are also moments when people surround themselves with others who enable that pride : Instead of speaking truth, they protect unhealthy behavior, creating a cycle where correction is seen as attack and humility is seen as weakness. But God is not mocked what we sow, we will reap : In His perfect timing, truth always rises, and every heart will eventually face the fruit of its choices.
Let’s be people who choose humility over pride and peace over anger : A soft heart is a strong heart, and a life surrendered to God is a life that will stand firm through every storm. Keep growing, keep listening, and let God shape you daily into His image :Stay humble, stay teachable, and trust that God lifts those who walk with Him faithfully, God bless you all :
