Spot a hazard. Fix it. Get recognised for it. 👏

On site this week at Anderson Point, Brendan and Max didn’t just do the job, they improved it.

They reworked the way the SSBS mounting bracket is installed, cutting out the need for grinding and hot works completely.
No sparks. No hot works permit. No extra risk. Just a smarter, safer method.

The result?
✅ Hazard removed
✅ Safer process for everyone
✅ Safety Award + spin of the prize wheel (and yes, they scored a speaker and torch)

This upgrade enhances asset health management by integrating pressure transducers and micro switches into the grease system, enabling real-time monitoring via the Program Logic Control (PLC).

These improvements ensure greater reliability and efficiency by keeping critical bearings protected and providing precise grease delivery feedback.

Our skilled Laptek team is on-site with a Pilbara client, upgrading the upper structure grease lubrication system on a stacker to ensure peak performance and longevity! 🛠️💧
Up in the EWP, Raz is expertly installing brackets to run new header lines, getting everything ready for the new End of Line box on the tripper head pulley. Giving a thumbs up to Mo, our dedicated Safety Watch below, Raz signals that all’s secure! Meanwhile, on the walkway, Danny is setting up a new grease distribution block with Max by his side, ensuring everything is perfectly aligned. 👷👷‍♂️

This detailed work isn’t just about technical skills—it’s about precision, safety, and teamwork. By enhancing the electronic monitoring and optimising grease delivery, our team is making essential modifications that improve the mechanical integrity and health of this critical asset.

Out with the old, in with the new!

Max and Stuart, our Laptek Techs, are swapping out a perished ¼ grease hose on the trunions at the train unload 🚂🔧.

During a thorough inspection, a cracked and corroded hose was identified, preventing what could have developed into a major issue down the line.
By keeping a close eye on equipment condition, we ensure safe operations and minimise downtime. This proactive approach not only extends the lifespan of our assets but also keeps our plant running at optimal efficiency.

Thanks to our team for keeping things running smoothly, one hose at a time!
