Sandfire Resources

Sandfire Resources Sandfire is a sustainable mining company transforming into a global copper producer of significance.

With a strong operational base and a clear strategy to grow into an international diversified and sustainable mining company, Sandfire’s business is underpinned by a demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of safety, responsibility and sustainability. Sandfire joined the ranks of Australian copper producers in 2012 following the successful construction and commissioning of its flagship 10

0%-owned DeGrussa Copper-Gold Mine, located 900km north of Perth in Western Australia. Sandfire moved from discovery through resource drill-out, feasibility, financing, development, and construction to first copper production within three years – a remarkable achievement which has set new benchmarks for the efficient and rapid development of resources in Western Australia.

“Sandfire intends to build on the strong cash flows being generated at DeGrussa to create the foundations for a world-class Australian mining company with a sustainable growth plan.”

DeGrussa produces high quality copper-in-concentrate with significant gold credits. Life-of-mine C1 cash operating costs are forecast at approximately US$1.20 per pound. DeGrussa has a Total Mineral Resource inventory, net of mining depletion to 31 December 2012, containing some 667,000 tonnes of copper and 781,000oz of gold. The exceptional average grade of this resource puts DeGrussa in a league of its own in terms of copper producers worldwide. Sandfire intends to build on the strong cash flows being generated at DeGrussa to create the foundations for a diversified Australian mining company with a sustainable growth future. This includes a substantial exploration commitment within its broader 400sqkm tenement holding at DeGrussa and through a portfolio of exploration joint ventures and initiatives in highly prospective mineral provinces in Australia and overseas.

Today we released our FY26 Financial Results.

We finished the year with strong momentum, delivering Group CuEq production of 154.2kt, comfortably within our annual guidance range as our MATSA and Motheo Copper Operations achieved annual ore processing records.

We reported record financial results, and finished FY26 with a net cash balance of $353M, reinforcing how consistent and predictable performance can translate into strong financial results and balance sheet strength.

We’re returning excess capital to shareholders after our Board declared a fully franked, final dividend of 35 Australian cents per share in respect of FY26.

We have two increasingly well positioned assets producing the commodities the world needs at the right time, and we’ve got the opportunity to better define and unlock what we believe is one of, if not the best copper and gold development opportunities in Australia at Kalkaroo.

Drilling is now underway at the Kalkaroo Copper-Gold Project in South Australia.

Our first drill rig recently arrived onsite and we expect another six rigs to join over coming months as we undertake a large-scale infill and extension drilling program.

Our team has made strong, early progress establishing the foundations of the planned ~US$70M pre-feasibility study which is scheduled to be completed in H2 FY28. This includes completing an 80-bed onsite camp and progressing installation of a core processing facility.

We’re proud to support community initiatives that make a positive difference in the places where we operate.

In Botswana, our Exploration team supported the Ghanzi football team, The 3 Lions, helping provide the resources they needed to take to the field this season.

Through Sandfire’s sponsorship, the team received essential equipment and supplies, including first aid kits, footballs and boots for players.

Despite tough competition, The 3 Lions had a highly successful season, taking out the top spot in the Ghanzi Regional Football Association Men’s League Championship. Go team! 🦁

Our Sandfire MATSA Operations have donated a banded polymetallic sulphide sample from our Aguas Teñidas mine to the Riotinto Mining Museum in Huelva, Spain.

Now on display in the museum’s geology hall, the sample helps bring to life the mineral wealth of the Iberian Pyrite Belt and the important role metals like copper, zinc and lead continue to play in modern society.

It’s a small but meaningful way to support education, preserve mining heritage and strengthen understanding of the resources that power everyday life 🔋

At Sandfire, we believe our licence to operate will only be as strong and enduring as the positive and lasting impact we have in the local and regional communities in which we work, such as the Ghanzi district of Botswana, where our Motheo copper mine is located.

Our Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Brendan Harris, and Chief Operating Officer, Jason Grace, recently travelled to Botswana to meet with our team and senior government representatives, such as the Vice President and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe, and Minister for Minerals and Energy, the Honourable Bogolo Joy Kenewendo.

We look forward to continuing to work with the Government of Botswana and supporting its economic empowerment aspirations that are designed to build stronger and more resilient communities.

A big congratulations to our Sandfire team members and their families who took part in the HBF Run for a Reason over the weekend.

HBF Run for a Reason is Perth’s largest annual fundraising event, giving West Australians the chance to run or walk 3km, 12km or a half marathon.

Not only has our team stepped up to this fitness challenge, but they’ve also had the opportunity to raise vital funds for local charities such as Royal Flying Doctor Service of WA, Cystic Fibrosis WA and Breast Cancer Research Centre WA, among many others.
