Before scrolling on, pause for a moment . . .

Think about the last uncomfortable decision that you made at work. Not the ‘polished’ one. The awkward one. The really difficult one! The moment when:

- A client pushed for “just this once”.
- A deadline slipped.
- A top performer crossed the line.
- Doing the ‘right thing’ cost you speed, status, or revenue.

Now ask yourself one question . . .

‘Which of our organisation’s values actually guided what we / I did?’

If you can answer clearly, your values are doing real work. If you can’t, it’s likely that they’re more decorative than operational.

Strong values don’t remove difficult decisions or conversations, but they can reduce ambiguity when pressure is high.

That’s the difference between values that you admire & values that you use.

When we began creating ’s values, we wanted more than a collection of words that looked great as a screensaver or attracted future talent, only for them to be left confused when their day-to-day reality felt different. They needed to be genuine, authentic, & 100% Brio. They needed to be real, unlike anything we’d seen elsewhere, & demonstrable - in line with our Founders’ hopes & expectations for the business.

We also wanted them to serve their actual purpose . . . to articulate what we as a business actually VALUE! What will be recognised, rewarded, & celebrated in the days & years that follow - both by us & (we hope) our clients. And so, Brio’s values were born!

We’d love to hear what you think? As well as how you SHOW UP, SEEK, GUIDE, & CREATE in your workplace?

First & foremost, Happy New Year from !

If (like us) you’re now looking for genuine performance improvements in the new year, this one’s for you...

Time & time again - particularly at this time of year & especially on Insta - we hear & work with people who say ‘when I have X, then I’ll do Y, & then I’ll be Z’. A classic HAVE-DO-BE mindset. But experience tell us that this is typically the wrong way around; particularly when it comes to sustainable behaviour change. We need to flip it on its head & consider ‘who must I be & what must I do, so that I can have X?’ BE-DO-HAVE. By doing this, we not only have a goal for the new year (for example), but a plan for how to make it a reality.

If you’re interested in hearing more about how Brio can support you & your organisation to genuinely BE different in 2026, please get in touch. It’s what we DO - inside & out.
