Your puppy has been introduced to toilet training while with us, giving them a positive foundation to build on. However, itโs important to understand that toilet training is an ongoing process and will continue once your puppy settles into their new home.

When puppies move to a new environment, everything is different -smells, routines, surfaces and people. Even puppies who were doing very well before leaving us may have accidents at first. This is completely normal and does not mean they have โforgottenโ their training. They are simply learning where the toilet area is in ๐บ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ home.
๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ is the single most important factor in successful toilet training. Taking your puppy to the same toilet area, using the same cues and following a predictable routine will help them understand what is expected.
Puppies should be given ๐๐ง๐๐ฆ๐ช๐๐ฃ๐ฉ opportunities to toilet, especially:
๐ฅฑ After waking up
๐ฝ๏ธ After eating or drinking
๐งธ After playtime
๐ Before bedtime

Accidents are a normal part of toilet training. They should be calmly cleaned up without punishment or fuss. Reinforcing where the toilet area is (whether outside, a puppy pad or a grass mat) when puppy has an accident also helps them understand.
