30 Days of Gratitude Challenge

Day5 : Name a friend you are grateful for

Doc Myrtel Cartagena Alcazar

We were classmates in College;
We became closefriends as we progress through our Vet Med studies.
We respect our differences and celebrate our similarities.
The bond became more stronger as we bravely faced more challenges in our studies as we get closer to the finish line.
We triumphed! We made it straight to 6th year and finished on time.

Together we prepared for the most awaited Vet Med board exams. And YES! we made it again!

Now the real deal : Getting a job

The following year after we took the board exams, she landed a decent job in the government days before her birthday. Myself on the otherhand was still waiting for the result of the final interview with the prestigious private company where I applied.

Then I received an express mail from her with the information that the academic ( government) institution where the agency she worked for is attached to, was in need of a registered Vet to fill in the Vet position. And I got the job right away!

I am forever grateful for all her effort and assistance when I was starting my new job in a place where I was a total stranger and can’t even speak their local dialect.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We were inseparable since then until my family migrated here in the Land Down Under.
We always have each other in all our major milestones: marriage, birth of children, birthdays, graduation to name few.
We witnessed each other’s ups and downs, happy and sad times, success and misfortunes.

🎶🎶🎵
We may be miles away
But here is where my heart will stay
With you, my friend with you 🎶🎵🎤.

Our bond is stronger than the triple CH or O2 bond😁😁.

Love you my BFF😘😘💕💕

Day 4: What is an accomplishment you are grateful for

This accomplishment maybe a no big deal for others but for me it is very significant for my overall well-being.

Grateful for the positive results after I joined a local Zumba Class.

They’re finally back to school after a week of extended school holiday due to Covid lockdown in the state of WA.
Since last week we have had cyclone from up North going down South. Rained last 2 days.

It’s drizzling today while sending off my Danella to school.

She’s so excited to be in her new Year 4 room😊 and a new Teacher too💕.

Dog owners out there be aware💕

DISEASE OUTBREAK THREATENS DOGS
A new deadly disease is threatening the lives of dogs around Australia. Canine ehrlichiosis is caused by a bite of a parasite called the ‘brown dog tick’. Australia was initially considered free of the disease, but now more than 300 dogs across Western Australia and the Northern Territory have been infected.
The disease causes fever, decreased appetite, lethargy and bleeding. Some dogs may also experience difficulty breathing and blindness. The bite can be potentially fatal for dogs, and owners may only notice the symptoms occurring in their dogs 2 weeks after being infected.
Dog owners are urged to look after their dogs, particularly in humid conditions where the ticks can live. A good tick collar or tick medicine is advised.
