Today we honour the veterans who served in the Malayan Emergency, Thai-Malay Border Operations and Indonesian Confrontation.

More than 9,000 Australians served in the Malayan Emergency and Thai-Malay operations between 1948 and 1966.

At the same time, the Indonesian Confrontation unfolded from 1962. Australian forces were deployed to Borneo from 1965 until a peace treaty was signed in 1966, bringing the confrontation to an end.

We recognise the courage, commitment and sacrifice of all who served.

Today marks the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan and is commemorated as Vietnam Veterans' Day.

We pay our respects to the service and sacrifice of over 60,000 Australians who served in the Vietnam War, and express our gratitude to their families.

Victory in the Pacific (VP) Day marks a time to acknowledge the brave Australian veterans and our allies who served in the Pacific during World War II.

We honour their courage, sacrifice and the lasting peace they fought to secure.

At the Gold Coast leg of the recent Veteran Games, our team was thrilled to roll up our sleeves and compete in some of the gruelling drills veterans go through on the obstacle course.

Our very own co-founder, Kevin Chapman, competed with the Veterans For Youth (VFY) team and helped take home the winning title at the heats!

We were very, very sore 🤭, but we can't wait to do it all again. Our famous Chin-Up Charity Challenge will return too, so see you at the next stop in Darwin!

🥁🥁 ... Drum roll for the results of the first Chin-Up Challenge of 2026!

A total of 𝟭,𝟵𝟮𝟬 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 were completed, amounting to an incredible $𝟭𝟮,𝟲𝟲𝟬 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 and donated back to the Veteran Games. The record holders really raised the bar this year, with absolute machines Quinten Stratford and Jade Henderson taking home the men's and women's titles 💪🔥

A big thank you to everyone who stepped up, cheered others on, and helped make the challenge a success. We're proud to once again stand alongside Veteran Support Force as Presenting Partner for this amazing event.

The Veterans First Consulting Chin-Up Challenge kicks off tomorrow!

Come visit our fundraising booth at the Veteran Games 2026 Gold Coast Heats this weekend.

For every chin-up you complete, we’ll donate $5 back to supporting the Games — and during our “Hour of Power” we’ll double it to $10 per heave!

Last year everyone chipped in to help raise $22,500, with 34 chin-ups being the highest record. Can we beat last year's efforts👀?
