Day Four: from the Tall Timbers to the Edge of the World 🤭
Today was freezing 🥶 but so enjoyable. A cruise up the Arthur River on the MV George Robinson was a fabulous experience- such passion, knowledge and enthusiasm in abundance was presented by the crew. We enjoyed morning tea, bbq lunch, informative walk, music and great company.

Everyone loves a little competition 🤪🤪
So…everyone who is on the coach (except the driver because we figured that we need him 🤣🤣) has made a guesstimation of how many kilometres we will travel from Devenport, back to Devenport.
If the actual kilometre reading each day, passes your guess, unfortunately, you get kicked off the bus! 🚌
Who will be first off? Who will have the closest guess?
Stay tuned, I have a feeling that our bus will have at least one more vacant seat tomorrow night 😊🤪🤭

Day three began with a hearty breakfast at the Tall Timbers. After a scenic drive through Smithton, we ventured on to Stanley. With beanies and jackets donned, the majority of the intrepid travellers braved the elements and took The Nut Chairlift towards the summit of the Nut for spectacular views. After some welcome refreshments and more retail therapy, we headed to the Brown Dog where we enjoyed lunch.
A visit to the Highfield Historic Site rounded off our day out and about.

Day two- Geelong to Smithton. We arrived bright and early into Devenport, disembarking at 6.30 am. After breakfast at the Harbourmaster Cafe, we headed to the Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens where we enjoyed morning tea with a view.
On to Table Cape Tulip Farm where we had an informative guided tour, lunch and an opportunity for retail therapy.
After a quick nanna nap in the coach, we stretched our legs on a short walk to view the magnificent Dip Falls.
Last stop for the day was the Tall Timbers which will be our base for three nights.
No complaints about the pool, bar or the fabulous dinner tonight.

We arrived in Geelong safely after a lunch stop in Gisborne. We waited patiently to board the ship, enjoyed a drink once on board and a yummy buffet dinner. Our sleep…well let’s just say, it was brief. Day one - a great start to our adventure. 🥂👌
