At the starting point of the Great Ocean Walk, taking a moment to soak in the meaning of beginnings. This wooden structure caught my eye right away, not just because of its design, but because it felt like a reminder that every journey has a first step, even the ones we take without fully knowing where they will lead.

Kneeling here felt symbolic in a quiet way. A small pause before moving forward. A little space to breathe, appreciate the view, and remind myself that progress does not always have to be big or dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like simply showing up and enjoying where your feet have landed.

We tried to take a normal photo at the 12 Apostles, but the wind clearly had other plans. Instead of perfectly posed smiles, we ended up with laughter, hair everywhere, and a moment we’ll probably remember much more than any picture-perfect shot.

There was something fun about just letting the day be what it was. No rushing, no forcing anything, just enjoying the Great Ocean Road with the boys and soaking in the kind of scenery that makes you pause without even trying.

Sometimes the unexpected moments end up being the ones that feel the most alive. I am glad this one was captured.

🎄Just got back from a Disney Cruise to New Zealand… unpacked for five minutes… (actually didn’t unpack 😂) and now I’m off to Bali. ☀️✈️

Sometimes you just have to get muddy 🤣

I really had to convince my kids on this one.
I thought… what boys wouldn’t want to roll around in the mud?
Turns out these boys were onto something.

This was hands down the most uncomfortable experience.
Within minutes our eyes were stinging so badly it honestly felt like we were weeping acid 😭🔥

The steam and raw geothermal mud release sulphur gases, and when that hits your eyes… wow.
Intense. Immediate. Not relaxing in any universe.

We absolutely wish we had listened to the boys.
Its’s called “Hells Gate” for a reason.

Luckily, we had done another amazing spa the day before, so this didn’t ruin the whole Rotorua spa experience , that one was calm, beautiful, and everything this wasn’t.

Would we do this again?
Hard no.

Still… one of those travel stories you laugh about later ..just maybe not while your eyes feel like they’re melting 😂
