Flinders Feral Animal Control wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe Happy New Year.
It has been a busy year for F.F.A.C with work spread out across the state from Ceduna - Marree and down the south east close to Narracorte, with programs targeting feral animals such as feral cats, foxes, goats, deer, wild dogs, and pest birds. A big concern observed this year has been the increase in feral cat numbers. F.F.A.C removed over 130! feral cats this year from regional areas. If you see the chart below it will show why their numbers can increase so quickly if programs are not in place.
Thank you for everyone's support again this year, and safe holidays
Cheers
Tom

This young fox might look fluffy and cute now but he will grow up contributing to killing 300 million native animals each year. This includes native and endangered mammals, birds and reptiles along with lambs, chickens and other domestic animals. Foxes are an introduced feral animal and also spread many diseases.
It is important to take steps to report activity and have invasive feral animal programs in place.

Here are some of the results of a recent pigeon cull. Efforts were made to recover all but some were deemed unreachable and discussed with the owner of the bussiness.
The numbers may look minor but my first visit here 2 years ago resulted in over 70 pigeons in a few hours removed after the owner had tried other methods. Now the business gives me a call every 3 or 4 months to come in and remove any new pigeons before their numbers build up and cause the costly mess to infrastructure and equipment they once did or the health impacts and image to potential clients.
The use of a suppressed hi end air rifles and thermal / night vision scopes can allow for increased stealth and precision accuracy, and produce professional results.
