Remembrance Day is on Monday, 11 November. On this day, we pay respect and pause for one minute to remember the service and sacrifice of our veterans and current serving personnel.

The red Flanders poppy is the most prominent symbol of Remembrance Day, and people are encouraged to wear it on their left side to honour the day.

The sails of the Sydney Opera House will again be illuminated with poppies. You can head to Circular Quay to see the projections as it commences on:

Managing the payroll for your business effectively is crucial for all employers. Payroll is a somewhat thankless HR deliverable, as all employees (rightfully) expect that it will just happen and be correct.

As a small business owner there are some baseline considerations to note.

Ensure that you are following all the relevant IR legislation and tax regulations. This includes correctly classifying employees, withholding the right amount of taxes, and filing payroll taxes on time.
