What can creative freelancers do during the time of CoVid-19, when there just isn’t enough work? Our experts, one from Manila and one from Chicago, share their thoughts.

Ryan Cassell
Ryan Cassell is the founder and creative director of Castlelight Productions, a Chicago-based production house with an emphasis on visual storytelling. At the core, Cassell is a creator - making the story a central feature of his work. He specializes in filming, editing, audio engineering and post-production finessing. He works with clients ranging from festivals and large-scale events to travel, non-profit and educational organizations, as well as major brands like Sony, Weber Grill and United Airlines to develop promotional videos, live stream experiences, footage for documentaries and engaging, sharable social content. His care for details is one of the reasons his clients trust his vision and selection. He adds high-level techniques and a unique energy to his work. Cassell lends his skills to events such as Coachella, the Latin GRAMMYs and Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee. His footage is also featured in the documentary “Pooh” that follows NBA player, Derrick Rose.
Ivan Guerrero
Ivan Guerrero is an owner and Chief Creative Officer of Luminaut Pictures, a boutique production company in the Philippines that produces branded entertainment. As a commercial filmmaker and a creative, his work has been featured on publications such as Time, Enterainment Weekly, and the Washington Post. Recently, one of his projects was chosen to be produced as an official LEGO set. He’s also the brains behind the Community TV show LEGO idea, which hit over 10,000 votes in about two weeks. He is also a part owner of the Filbar’s chain of comic stores on in the Philippines.
