We’re incredibly proud to share that aEX Institute (formerly BSI Learning) has been named a finalist for the NSW Training Awards 2026 Disability Inclusion in the VET Sector of the Year Award.

This is a particularly special moment for our team, as this is the first time this award category has been offered, and it means a great deal to have our work recognised in this way. It’s a reflection of the strong partnership between aEX Institute and Australian Foundation For Disability (Afford), and the shared commitment, care, and collaboration that sit behind everything we do.

Most importantly, this nomination celebrates the incredible students we support and learn from every day. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping shape a more inclusive and accessible VET experience.

A heartfelt thank you as well to our trainers, support staff, and everyone involved in delivering this work. Your dedication has helped create opportunities that are practical, meaningful, and truly inclusive.

We’re honoured to be recognised among such outstanding finalists and proud to celebrate this achievement together.

National Reconciliation Week (27 May - 3 June), is a time to reflect on our shared histories and recognise the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year’s theme “All In” is a call for all Australians to step off the sidelines and commit to reconciliation every day through actions that create meaningful change.

At aEX, we’re committed to listening, learning and embedding respect in everything we do. We acknowledge the Gadigal people as the traditional owners of the land on which we live and work, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

From Wednesday 27 May until Friday 10 July, we will be collecting book donations and tech items as part of The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation's Share-A-Book campaign and Tech Drive.

ALNF’s Share-A-Book program is a powerful initiative that provides new and pre-loved, quality and culturally appropriate books to communities, big and small, across the nation. Children’s books are donated to ALNF by schools, corporations, publishing houses, booksellers and individuals. These books are then distributed to First Nations communities across Australia such as Palm Island, Warmun, Tennant Creek, Kempsey, and many more. This year, there has been an increased need for early years books.

✨ Season’s Greetings from all of us at BSI Learning ✨
As the year draws to a close, we want to pause, reflect and say a genuine thank you.
To our learners, clients, partners and collaborators, your trust, curiosity and commitment to growth are what bring our work to life. Every course completed, conversation sparked and capability built this year has reinforced why learning truly matters.
This year has reminded us that progress is rarely linear, but with the right mindset, skills and support, it’s always possible. Together, we’ve explored new ideas, tackled real challenges and continued to build safer, more inclusive and more capable workplaces.
As the festive season approaches, we hope you find time to rest, recharge and celebrate the wins – both big and small. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to continuing the learning journey with you in the year to come.
From our team to yours, we wish you a safe, joyful and refreshing festive season 🎄
Here’s to learning forward in the new year.
