This is me dressed for my real life today 🙋🏼‍♀️ Without the pressure of needing to be “fashion” or polished every second of the day.

This is me today:
A mum of two
At the play centre
At the park
On the ground
On the slides
In the in-between moments

This outfit lets me enjoy my kids instead of worrying about what I’m wearing. No tugging, adjusting or second guessing.

If you’re in your mum-of-little-kids era and living in activewear, you’re not doing style wrong. You’re dressing for your season of life 💛

And you should be pleased with yourself for that. I’d say that’s some pretty good style clarity right there 🙌🏼

When you know:
what your day looks like
what your lifestyle needs
what actually feels good on your body

And you own clothes that:
suit your lifestyle
feel good on your body
match how you want to feel
make your day easier

Then...

getting dressed becomes simple
confidence comes naturally
the mental load of “what to wear” disappears

Save this for the days you feel like you’re doing personal style all wrong. You’re not. And if you’re joining me in this stage of motherhood - Hi! ☺️

If you’re wanting to feel instantly more confident in your personal style and thinking you need to head to the shops and buy a bunch of new things, you do not 🙌🏼

Confidence in your personal style doesn’t come from buying more clothes. It comes from clarity, intention and knowing how to dress for you and where you’re at right now.

If getting dressed feels overwhelming, frustrating or uninspiring and you’re feeling a little lost, start here.

These 5 shifts change not just how you dress, but how you show up throughout every interaction you have in your day. How nice that you’re in control of that 💛

Save this. Share it. Come back to it 🥰

This went live today 🎧 and what a fun chat to be invited into. All things style confidence, making your wardrobe wearable and dressing for how you want to feel as you move throughout your day.

We talked about why so many women feel like they have nothing to wear, struggle shopping, get caught up on the body shape stuff, wear outfits that don’t feel quite right, get stuck in a cycle of lack of confidence and style identity.

We chat through the 6 pitfalls I commonly see as a Personal Stylist of 16 years, having styled thousands of women. And we chat about what I recommend doing when you feel like you’re stuck in one.

It’s all positive, confidence building, your style identity and dressing for the life you’re living and how you want to feel within yourself.

So grateful to be a part of this conversion with such an awesome platform, audience and host 💛

These aren’t pieces I have found for they’re pieces I’d be pulling for you if we were shopping together 🙋🏼‍♀️

When I’m in-store with 1:1 clients, I spot so many great finds that never make it home with me… usually because I like to keep my wardrobe relatively minimal and am super intentional about what I own, or the items don’t fit me like they fit my client (not a bad thing) or they aren’t in line with my own personal style.

But… there are SO many items out there that are perfect for so many bodies, items that fit MANY different body shapes and promotions so well. That work for real, everyday wardrobes and lifestyles.

So, I’m sharing through my stylist lens some items clients have been buying from Uniqlo - what’s fitting multiple women really well and what I know is great value and holds maximum outfitting potential.

If you’d like the links to these pieces and a few extra affordable finds from Uniqlo (not sponsored just a store I genuinely shop with clients), comment SHOP WITH ME and I’ll email them to you 💛

Style starts in your mind, not in your wardrobe or on a shopping spree.

If you’ve ever stood in front of your wardrobe thinking:

✖️Nothing looks good on me.
✖️I’ll dress better when I lose weight.
✖️I have nothing to wear.

Then it’s time to shift your style mindset.
Because building a wearable wardrobe you actually love starts with how you think, not just what you wear.

💭 Mindset Minute is a weekly email that helps you:

✨ Unlearn the style rules that are holding you back
✨ Make confident outfit decisions with less overthinking
✨ Feel more like you in what you wear

I’d love to know what comes to mind for you! In sessions with clients lately I’ve been noticing many of us feel we need to buy more clothes, spend more money, throw out the wardrobe and start from scratch, change our size or our bodies to fit into clothing. What comes to mind for you?

With a minimalistic approach, I’m showing you how to build your seasonal wardrobe using just 10 items to create 15 complete outfits with Macquarie Centre

The key here is to choose a collection of well-chosen base items, this will give you the opportunity to mix and match easily.

You want your items to be easy to tuck in, leave out or layer to change up the overall look of the outfit. Option for simple shoes in a neutral colour, they will work well across different colours, fabrics and prints without any clash.

The 10 items featured in these 15 outfits are classic items in streamlined cuts with interest in the print, fabric, texture or colour. These items are new season takes on our favourite staples, think denim jackets, midi skirts, denim jeans and the staple black dress.

It’s easy to continue with the same rotation of work outfits each week, but with a few key items added in, you could elevate your work wardrobe instantly. Stick to your core staples of shirts, well-fitting pants and a classic blazer, but add some personality in the texture, cut or print. All of the items are sourced from retailers at Macquarie Centre.

Hello! I don't know about you, but I feel a little unsure when hiring professional help that's outside of my scope of knowledge. I feel I need to "know it all", but that's just impossible. Trusting someone to help me achieve a personal or professional goal takes a lot of consideration and I want to make sure I have hired the best person suited to me, so I research, ask for recommendations and read reviews.

A Personal Styling Session is an investment in yourself, your personal brand, your lifestyle and your wardrobe. It’s so much deeper than simply buying clothes in a store with some friendly fashion advice on the side. It's important to do your research and feel confident with your choice when you decide to do this for yourself. You want to have a fun time during your session and feel the benefits for years to come.

If you're searching for a Personal Stylist, or have been considering booking in a session, have a read through these key considerations.

Read through the 12 points to think about when hiring a Personal Stylist: https://hayleycooper.com.au/12-points-to-think-about-when-hiring-a-personal-stylist/

I elaborate on these points, as well as a few others to help you make an educated decision. This advice is based on feedback I’ve had from my clients over the past 10 years, on why they have chosen to work with me and points they have appreciated in my services.

Have you been thinking of hiring a stylist or doing a styling session?

What's holding you back?

What would you like to know?
