Onboarding new team members is one of the most important experiences you create as a leader; yet so many businesses treat it like a box to tick.

I love how the HR team at ClickUp made employment policies fun and engaging. It's not always possible to run in-person training like this, but with AI tools, you could create fun and engaging videos to cover topics like anti-harassment/discrimination, code of conduct, health and safety, security etc.

After 18 years in business, here’s what I no longer believe…

I no longer believe that being busy means a business is healthy.

In fact, most of the business owners who I connect with aren’t lacking effort; they’re lacking structure and processes.

When everything lives in your head, the business depends on your energy, memory, and availability. That works… until it doesn’t.

Clarity beats hustle.
Systems beat stress.
Calm beats chaos.

That shift changed everything for me. It gave my team the opportunity for professional growth, and it allowed me to relocate.

After 18 years in business, I’ve learned that growth doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from doing what matters with clarity, intention, and care. Growth doesn’t need to be loud or exhausting to be meaningful.

I’ve spent many years building my business, supporting my team who are based across different countries, and helping business owners create space so they can focus on what they do best.

Along the way, I’ve also learned that sustainable success is quiet. It’s structured. And it’s deeply human.

I haven’t always been consistent in sharing here, but this year I’m changing that - not to add noise, but to share what I’ve learned, what I’m seeing, and what truly helps businesses grow without burning out the people behind them.
