Today I want to say something out loud, because I know I am not the only one who has felt it.
There was a stretch of time where I was doing everything I was supposed to do. Working hard. Paying bills. Being responsible. And yet I still felt like I was one unexpected expense away from panic.
The sentence that kept coming out of my mouth was, “We can’t afford that.”
Not because my son was asking for designer things or big holidays. Sometimes it was something small, like going out for lunch or doing something fun on the weekend. And every time I said it, I felt that familiar mix of guilt and frustration.
I started noticing something else too. I wasn’t only tired in my body. I was tired in my head. The constant pressure, the mental maths, the feeling that time was slipping away.
So I made a decision. I started building an online income stream, step by step, alongside work.
Not perfect. Not polished. Just consistent.
A few things that have helped me stay on track:
I keep the daily task small enough that I can do it even when I am tired.
I focus on one priority at a time, because multitasking often turns into procrastination.
I lean on community and mentorship, especially on the days I want to disappear.
If you are a woman who wants more time, more options, and less financial stress, I see you.
