Support at Home is a new government program designed to help older Australians live safely and well at home, but many people are unsure how personal contributions work.

We’ve put together a simple guide that explains:
• The three types of supports
• Which services are protected
• When and why contributions apply
• How your income and assets affect costs

If you’re planning ahead or supporting a family member, this article can help you make sense of it all.

It always leaves me with such a glow when I receive feedback like this from clients 🥰
Moments like these are a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do — supporting, advocating, and walking alongside people as they navigate their care. Feeling very grateful today.🫶

Strong communities are built through connection, conversation, and education.
It was a pleasure to spend time with residents at Mt Gilead Retirement Village in South Western Sydney during their AGM, sharing practical and accessible information about home care and support options. The afternoon was both engaging and rewarding, with many meaningful conversations and new connections made.
I’m very much looking forward to returning in January for our smaller group sessions and continuing these conversations.

Imagine the memories behind a song chosen after 100 years of living.
This video features centenarians selecting the single song that mattered most to them — and the reasons why are as rich and meaningful as the lives they’ve lived. Grab a tissue… and turn the sound up.

On Friday 12.12.25, I had the pleasure of visiting Mt. Gilead Retirement Village, where I spoke with a large group of engaged and interested residents about how to access and maximise Support at Home funding.

I was warmly welcomed by both the residents and the Chairman, which made the session especially rewarding. I’m very much looking forward to returning in January to host smaller, more interactive group sessions, allowing time for individual questions and tailored support.

These conversations are so important. My aim is always to share clear, practical information that helps people feel confident, informed, and empowered to advocate for their own care needs — and ultimately achieve the best possible outcome from their aged care assessment.

Thank you to everyone who attended. I’m looking forward to continuing this journey together.

The past few weeks have certainly been busy, with the Aged Care Expo at Wests Leagues Club on 21.11.25 being a real highlight. It was a great opportunity to meet members of the community, strengthen existing connections, and network with new providers. Events like this are a reminder that there is always more to learn and consider as we continue supporting people to age well at home.
