One thing I love about having an online business I can do in the small pockets of my time…

I can still do the little special requests for my family without feeling like I have to put everything else on hold.

Yesterday, it was baking my son’s favorite bread.

And honestly, being able to do things like this while still building something for myself and my family’s future means so much to me.

I’m a chemist by profession and used to work in Unilab sa Pinas, but I became a full-time stay-at-home mum in 2010.

When we moved to Sydney in 2021, I realized one income wasn’t enough anymore. After a 14-year career gap, going back to my profession felt almost impossible, so I took on casual jobs just to help with the bills.

But deep down, I wanted something more. That’s when I decided to invest on and build my own online business.

Dahil may global support and online training na pwede kong ma-access anytime, naging mas madali for me to start and slowly thrive kahit nagsisimula pa lang.

Now, I’m creating extra income by doing this business in the small pockets of my time. And honestly, I’m just grateful I gave myself a chance to start again.

Kahit gaano karaming bagong lumabas, may mga bagay na binabalik-balikan pa rin natin.

Classic Coke. Classic pandesal. Classic ensaymada. Classic movies. Classic white shirt.

Bakit nga ba? Siguro kasi subok na. Familiar. Timeless. Yung tipong hindi kailangan makipagsabayan para mapatunayan yung value niya.

Parang sa buhay rin minsan. Hindi lahat ng bago mas better. Minsan, yung simple, consistent, at proven over time, yun talaga yung tumatagal.

Another Thursday, another Zoom, and another successful bread experiment!

While I was on our meeting today, I had a new batch of dough baking in the oven. Could smell the freshly baked bread just as we were wrapping up. So happy kasi it turned out exactly the way I like it: a perfectly crispy brown crust with soft, pillowy crumbs.

To top it all off, meron pala kong 3 new messages sa business page ko inquiring about my business.

Such a productive day!

Busy day today

Walked my son to the bus zone this morning, then came home and started baking. While mixing my dough, I threw a load of dirty clothes into the washer. While the dough was proofing, I quickly drove out to do some grocery errands.

Got home just in time, the dough had risen perfectly and was ready to bake. And right before heading back out to the bus zone to pick up my son, the fresh bread was already sitting on the cooling rack.
