Very tight access job on a steep slope today. ⛰️

The sewer shaft had collapsed on this property and needed replacing. Access was very tight and very steep, the pipe was about 1.5m or more deep with very little room to put the dirt. Digging on top of services trying not to break them while also not knocking fences or the guttering/eaves of the building takes full concentration. Got there in the end no damage and a fresh new sewer shaft was installed by the boys at Hawkins plumbing. 🪠 Job done ✅

Been quite the ride so far, met a lot of great people, done some interesting jobs and enjoyed it all.

New Rubble drain all finished up this week.

Dug a trench to grade for a new sewer line from the existing septic tank to the new rubble drain. Two trenches 30m long with septic stone and Geofabric material to meet council specifications. Had an inspection done the next morning and got the green light from the plumber to backfill afterwards.✅

Built a contour bank with excess dirt above the trenches to stop water ingress.

Having both the excavator and skid steer on this job made light work of it all. 💪

There was a bit of working out with this one. The shape, the cone shaped deep end and the slope but the laser level and tilt hitch on the excavator made it easy. ✅

Last week we took delivery of a new to us S590 Bobcat, which completes the combination of Tipper, Excavator and Skid-steer. Gave it a detail today but now it’s time to get it dirty on some jobs. 💪
