My work space is not big and flashy, and It’s not always tidy. But it exists because of my wonderful customers. And thanks to some friends and a whole lot of hard work, it all runs 100% from the power of the sun using materials sourced from another Aussie business.

When you support us, you support our family. You support other Aussie business and the people in this community that we try to help in events like the Christmas bike run where last year we donated something like 80 gifts to families in need. You support the local high school where I work and the students who now get to learn the ins and outs of 3D printing, design and business.. all that this venture has taught me.

So from our family to yours, Thank You. And have a happy and safe long weekend.

3D printing with “tree” supports. Increased part strength, but also increased cool factor.

A personal project of mine. The $30 box that saves over $520 every year.

With the rising cost of living, I thought why not utilise energy sources we already have for other purposes? I mean, I already have some 12v batteries, a few solar panels for camping and a 240v inverter..

Some may already know that I have been trialing using batteries to power my office.. and yep.. and it works great!

Currently I am seeing savings of around 3.5kw per day, and I hope to push this to around DOUBLE that in the weeks to come. $520 a year back in my pocket? Yes please!

The only problem is the not so sunny days. Here’s where this little creation comes in.

If the battery drops below 10%, this device powers up the 40 amp wall charger and will bring it back up to around 20% charge, and bypass the 240v UPS inverter while it charges - this will keep everything up and running until the sun comes back!

And for preparing for the occasional camping trip or power outage, just flick the switch from auto to manual and it will charge it all the way up to 100%. 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Keep an eye out for these on a truck near you 😉
Truck air-line caps and plugs
- Keeps the wasps and dirt out of air line fittings
- Nylon retention ring embedded within instead of a sharp steel pin on the outside.
- Strong, highly visible, flexible strap that keeps the cap where it needs to be without the snagging and scratching that a traditional chain can do.
- Carbon fibre, thick wall construction designed to be rigid and tougher than traditional caps and plugs.

Cute little school badge for a high school students art project! Can’t wait to see the finished design.

Printed using Siddament gold and Bambu black filaments, with a 0.2 nozzle and coated in UV resin for that glossy, finished look.
