You’ve already met Izzy and Freddie…

This is Jack, your typical middle-aged dad - spending far too much time on the golf course while Mum deals with the joeys back in the pouch. 🏌️‍♂️

Is he actually belting balls down the fairway? Or is he enjoying a cold one in the clubhouse? Mum would like to know. 🍻

Jack has a dodgy knee, a permanently aching shoulder and absolutely no intention of letting either of those things stop him. Because according to Jack, golf is “fitness”.

To be fair, with those legs, he’s never had to resort to a golf cart. Why drive when you can leap across the course in record time?

Day two of introducing the brand new members of our Kiewa Valley creatures!

This is Freddie, who is often out on the trails before sunrise, chasing his next PB up Survey Track and slightly terrifying the locals. 🏃‍♂️⛰️

Unfortunately, poor Freddie doesn’t realise that as a dingo, he doesn’t quite fit in with the dog pack, but all the guy wants is to be part of a run club!

Is it his species? His flaming red fur? His intense commitment to running? We’ll probably never know.

You’ll be sure to recognise Freddie as he’s always wearing shorts (regardless of the weather) and a fully charged Garmin watch - because if it’s not on Strava, did you even run? 🤷

Introducing the first of our Kiewa Valley creatures - Izzy the Magpie.

Izzy loves nothing more than a leisurely bike ride around the pondage. But when spring rolls around? She’s doing her absolute best to act cool and casual while black-and-white missiles repeatedly dive-bomb her head.

She’s only one swoop away from becoming a source of entertainment for innocent passers-by.

And the cable ties - do they actually serve a purpose? Jury’s still out. 🧐

Izzy is the first of a whole crew of Kiewa Valley characters, each with their own little slice of local life. Stay tuned to meet Izzy’s friends…

Now the big question - will Steve think we’ve been naughty, or just be impressed that we didn’t *quite* blow the budget? 😂

We’ve been busy finding new goodies, choosing gifts, restocking the things you love and, of course, discovering a few things we’d quite happily take home ourselves. 😉

We are 2 flights into our 4 flights home journey. Sitting in Qantas lounge in LA waiting for our 11.30 pm flight to Sydney. We were up at 4.30 this morning so it’s been a long day 🤣🤦‍♀️ we have had the most amazing trip, but will be very happy to be home. ❤️❤️😘✈️🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸

So we have arrived at our last night in the Yukon-Whitehorse. Reception has been very intermittent so a little fill in on where we have been.
Dawson City-Whitehorse which was a long 8 hr drive. Lots of roadworks so got nowhere fast🤦‍♀️
Whitehorse-Skagway which just for the drive was stunning 😍 We stayed for 2 nights there with 4 massive cruise ships and thousands of people, needless to say Stephen couldn’t wait to leave. We did go on the Yukon-White Pass railway which was a highlight. Back across the border again and to Whitehorse. First flight on the journey back to our beloved Tawonga South starts very early tomorrow morning 5.15am. We eventually leave for Oz at 11.30pm from LA. So lots of waiting 😭🤣🤦‍♀️ looking forward to seeing you all soon. Big thanks to Macca, Leesa, Amanda and Jenny for keeping things running and more importantly keeping Sampson and Eddie under control, or maybe it’s the other way round 🤣

Tok-Chicken not a long drive but road was a bit rough in patches. Wasn’t sure what to expect but I have to say this is one of my favourite places in Alaska. A neat and quite quirky town with lots of chickens 🐓 no not real ones. The bears would probably eat them😭
