You don't need to work more hours...

You need to stop wasting the ones you have.

Here's exactly how to find hidden time in your week without adding anything extra to your schedule.

- Track every single task you do for five days. Meetings, emails, admin, quick favours. Write it all down. No guessing.

- Highlight every task that doesn't make you money or move a job forward. These are your time thieves.

- For each highlighted task, ask one question. Can someone else do this at 70% of my standard? Delegate it. Can software handle it? Automate it. Does it actually matter? Delete it.

Most business owners find 5 to 10 hours of recoverable time in a single week using this process.

Thats time you could spend on growth, strategy, or simply switching off.

Tag a business owner who needs to run this audit today.

Last Friday was a tough one...

A full day spent scripting and recording video content. Hours of effort. Only three videos to show for it. Energy was completely shot by the end of it.

If you've had a day like that, you know how demoralising it feels when the effort doesn't match the output.

Here's what helped reset things.

First, give yourself genuine gratitude. You are running a business. You have customers who trust you, employees who rely on you, and real responsibility on your shoulders every single day. Business owners, especially in small and medium businesses, rarely get the recognition they deserve. You are doing hard work. One bad day does not erase that.

Second, come back to the success formula: Consistency compounded by continuous experimentation over a long period of time. That is the actual path to success. Not one perfect day. Not one perfect week. Just showing up, adjusting the approach, and trying again.

A bad day is not a sign to stop. It is a signal to reset and go again.

Follow for honest, practical content built for business owners.

Ever feel like your business is moving at 100km/h and you’re dropping balls, stressed, and overwhelmed?

That’s usually your sign to pump the brakes.

This morning I felt it - head full of tasks, ready to rush… and my son wanted to ride his bike to school.

Instead of pushing through, I slowed down for 20 minutes, walked with him, made sure he got there safe… and then came back with a clearer head and a better pace.

Reminder for business owners (especially with kids, practices, and a million moving parts): sometimes you have to slow down to speed up.

Has this happened to you? Share your moment below.

Most owners try delegation once, it goes wrong, and they go back to doing everything themselves...

That's not a people problem. It's a process problem.

The handoff is where it breaks. Fix that first.

Save this post and use it when you delegate next.

Costco pulled in $4.9B in membership fees in 2024…..before anyone even bought a thing.

Meanwhile, most small businesses are sitting on a goldmine: their existing customers.

Repeat revenue is easier, cheaper, and faster than chasing new leads - if you actually have a strategy for your database.

Here’s the play:
1) Pull your customer list (Xero, spreadsheets, anywhere)
2) Put it into a CRM
3) Create a simple membership (3 benefits is plenty)
4) Announce it via email
5) Use AI to map out 12 months of emails: value, education, reminders

You don’t have a lead problem.
You have a follow-up + nurture problem.

Stay top of mind = stay top of wallet.

If Monday already feels like chaos, something’s not right...

Let’s Plan your week like an IKEA flat pack:
- Lay out the pieces (your tasks).
- Follow the steps, one page at a time.
- Finish one task before starting the next.

No stress. No confusion. No leftover “random parts.”

Start tomorrow differently, what are the tasks you need to lay out, and which one will you complete first?

You've been working hard all week...

But how much of that work actually moved your business forward? There's a difference between tasks that make you money and tasks that just keep you occupied. Most business owners are drowning in the second kind without even realising it.

The fix starts with one honest question. What am I actually doing with my time?

Track every task for five days. Then highlight everything that doesn't generate revenue or move a job forward. What you'll find will surprise you.

From there, the path is clear. Delegate it, automate it, or delete it entirely.

You don't need more hours. You need better visibility over the ones you already have.

Save this and run your time audit this week.

I’ve wasted a lot of time focusing on the wrong things….

100 posts later. Here’s what actually matters:

1. Consistency beats everything — showing up daily changed more than any “perfect” strategy ever did.

2. Follower count is a vanity metric — watch time, engagement, and views tell the real story.

3. No one cares about your video quality — they care if what you’re saying actually connects.

4. Chasing “going viral” is a distraction — it delayed progress more than it ever helped.

5. Follow rule #1 — because nothing works if you don’t show up.

Follow my journey to the next 100 posts.

Most business owners don't think about their exit until they're exhausted and ready to sell...

By then, the problems are already priced in.

Buyers don't pay a premium for businesses that rely on the owner, have messy books, or carry concentrated risk.

They pay a premium for certainty.

Start building that now. DM "AUDIT" if you want to know where your business stands.

No clear financial targets for the next 12 months? Give me 60 seconds…

The simplest way to set real targets in your business: build a budget/forecast in Xero (your monthly scorecard) so you can manage costs, project income, and see the profit you’re on track to make, without flying blind.

How to set it up:
1) Xero → Reporting → All reports
2) Budget Manager
3) Export the template that suits you
4) Fill it in (use last year’s numbers + trends, and make sure there’s profit every month)
5) Upload it back into Xero and you’re done.

Now you’ve got clear profit targets and a simple monthly tracker to see if you’re ahead or behind all year.

Need help mapping yours out? DM me.
