“Warehousing and logistics is a male-oriented industry.”
I heard that more than once.
But I decided to build anyway.
I started in a garage.
Then came a small warehouse.
Then a 1,000 sq. ft. warehouse.
Step by step, we kept growing.
And I was doing it all with a little baby.
It wasn’t easy.
There were long days, difficult decisions, and plenty of moments when I questioned myself.
But I kept going.
Then one day, I bought a forklift for my warehouse.
I remember looking at it and thinking:
**“If I can get here, I can go much further.”**
That moment changed my perspective.
I stopped thinking about how difficult the journey was and started thinking about what was possible.
Today, GP Warehousing is a female-owned, Amazon SPN-approved 3PL warehouse in Texas.
From a garage to a growing warehouse business.
It wasn’t easy.
But it was possible.
And to all the women reading this:
If I can build in an industry I was told was “male-oriented,” while raising a little baby, you can build whatever you believe in too.
Don’t wait for the perfect time.
Start with what you have.
Keep going.
Your journey might inspire someone else to start theirs.
